I'm neutral in the argument
Zarroette

Con

My opponent has the BoP.

A1: Is versus ought

Science focuses on what is: science is descriptive. For example, the Big Bang Theory is an explanation of how the universe came to be. Religion is sometimes focused on the descriptive, but will become focused on the prescriptive in other areas, the latter of which science does not do. For example, Catholic Moral Theology specifies “how one is to act” in regards to “medical ethics, sexual ethics” etc [1].

Con

A1: The ability to change

Through tests, experiments and studies, science may alter or add to existing knowledge. This does not happen within religion. Once the religious doctrines/knowledge have been finalised, the doctrines/knowledge will not be changed. For example, Islam has “The Quran [as] the holy book which Muslims recite and turn to for guidance ... Its verses have remained intact since their original revelation by God in the 7th century” [1].

Con

I win on the account of Pro never meeting his/her BoP, PLUS my negative case arguments pushed the debate further in my favour.

500 characters was hard to work with, but it was a good test!

1 point to Pro (conduct). RFD = Reasons for voting decision: less words = better conduct

[*Reason for removal*] Using fewer words has nothing to do with conduct, particularly when Pro forfeited most of his rounds.

Reasons for voting decision: FF. "Different" is spelled "deferent" in the title and there is no full stop on Pro's only sentence; S&G to Con. Con used the only arguments and sources. All 7 points to Con.
