RazaMobizo

Pro

Space travel is feasible and I plan on proving this to my opponent.
RazaTheHacker

Con

I firmly stand against space travel due to the fact there is no oxygen or water in space and earth has enough space for the human populas.

Pro

In accordance to the last census on the human population is that its increasing exponentially and if this increase continues there wont be enough space or resources. Your argument that there is no oxygen or water in space is 100% false we have proven water is quite abundant in space maybe not in its liquid form but water is still water and can be easily melted as well as the fact water is two parts hydrogen and one part oxygen and by means of running current through the water we can get hydrogen and oxygen the hydrogen can be used for fuel and the oxygen for breathing as well as the fact humans have already perfected air filtration technology.
RazaTheHacker

Con

Your arguement is false beacuse there are no other planets suited for life out there.

Pro

Actually we have located about 14,000 planets which ave the possibility of being suited for life. I also wish to point out the obvious flaw in your logic that all life is like us and would require the exact same conditions to live we have found life that could live on the surface of Venus which is 735 Kelvin although single cellular they could still live there and thrive. Your logic is also flawed due to the fact we have the ability to terraform planets to suit our needs and we could build huge spinning space station which produces a force similar to that of gravity and we could load them up with organisms making entire ecosystems which man could live in and be self sufficient for the most part (we would still have to have mining and extraction operations on asteroids and planets to get extra resources to build new stations and repair and upgrade existing ones).

Con

Well I just think that Earth is big enough and has enough resources to last humanity forever and we came from earth shouldnt we stay with it and not abandon it as my opponent proposes. You decide voters.

If I could vote for both of them to loose, I would.

pro's arguments are horrible, and con's are worse if that can be possible

That would sesm to be the case Roy. It should also be noted that their names contain the same "prefix."

The profiles of Pro and Con are identical. Two accounts of the same person?

"Feasible" means it can be done. Since astronauts already traveled through space to the moon and safely returned, there is no doubt whatsoever that it is feasible. Oddly, Pro failed to cite the fact that it had been done as convincing proof that is possible! Con mainly argued that space travel was unnecessary or undesirable, but also made a few arguments that it is not feasible -- such as pointing to a lack of air and water. Pro gave adequate answers to the feasibility questions, although he could have ended the debate conclusively with only three words, "It's been done."

My guess is that Con thought the resolution was something like, "We should immediately colonize other planets." That would have been a better topic, but that was not the resolution.

No references used by either side, a ridiculous oversight in this debate. S&G and conduct tied.

Even on this site, such fail is a rare sight.

I agreed that space travel is feasible, but not practile both before and after the debate. The Con proved a very slim aggrement, that had mostly all wrong facts. The Pro had a more convincing argument. Both the pro and con had good spelling and grammer, and both had equal conduct.
