I say the NBA is rigged for a lot of reasons. Back when Jordan played, they needed some money. So the deal was to find a good player and a good team (Jordan and the Bulls) and have them win a lot of playoff championships so fans would buy the tickets. The NBA would pay the refs to rig the game.

If Jordan was added to the Bulls to win games, and attract fans, and everyone in the league knew of this, wouldn't that upset several of the players in the league? Those who worked hard to get into the league and win games, and eventually championships would have been very upset. Also, there had been plenty of dynasties before the Jordan era. These included the Los Angeles Lakers winning 5 championships in 12 years. Also, each year, for the last several decades, a dominate team has been in the league. There would be no need for a forced dynasty, when there has always been one at one time or another.

I wish you continue on with this debate, or at least openly forfeit, seeing as you failed to comment on the last round.

Anyways, the NBA is popular for its many ways of attracting fans, ranging from exciting playoff setups, all-star weekend, and other events like that. They've implied these marketing strategies since before Jordan's time, so I can't see the need for them to have done something similar to lying to the fans, and cheating on the players just to get some money.

Sorry I missed the last round, I don't check this regularly.

If you go to youtube.com then search "NBA conspiracy" and you will change your mind.

Seeing how you represent the side arguing that the NBA is rigged, I think you should be providing the evidence yourself, not sending me on a chase for evidence.

If the NBA were rigged, it would have already been exposed years ago. Look at what happened with Tim Donaghy. You can't rig a sport that is known world wide, nor can you rig a league that is as popular as the NBA without it being known.
