Con

The sky is not blue, it is actually clear and the blue tint you see in the sky are the gasses in the atmosphere forming chemical reactions creating the color.
Georgenewland

Pro

I think the sky is blue the sky has always been blue, everyone knows that.

Reasons for voting decision: Pro failed to prove the sky IS blue, so arguments goes to Con by default. Conduct and spelling go to Pro. No sources were used, so not points are awarded.

Reasons for voting decision: I believe Con had better arguments because Pro's argument was 'The sky is blue because the sky is blue'. Con wins sources because of my troll definition of source: the proof for your argument. The source for Con's argument is 'gasses in the atmosphere form chemical reactions that create the color'.

Reasons for voting decision: The blue color of the sky is due to Rayleigh scattering. As light moves through the atmosphere, most of the longer wavelengths pass straight through. Little of the red, orange and yellow light is affected by the air. However, much of the shorter wavelength light is absorbed by the gas molecules. The absorbed blue light is then radiated in different directions. It gets scattered all around the sky. Whichever direction you look, some of this scattered blue light reaches you. Since you see the blue light from everywhere overhead, the sky looks blue. As you look closer to the horizon, the sky appears much paler in color. To reach you, the scattered blue light must pass through more air. Some of it gets scattered away again in other directions. Less blue light reaches your eyes. The color of the sky near the horizon appears paler or white. On Earth, the sun appears yellow. If you were out in space, or on the moon, the sun would look white.

Reasons for voting decision: First of all, it pro is right, it doesn't matter why it's blue, it's obviously blue. Not only that, con is wrong as to why it's blue.
