The constitution of the U.S.A. Is possibly one of the most important document in the modern day. It is diffenetly the most important constitution of any country. But I find that it does not meet the many needs of the American citizens. Many many many court cases have been heard on constitutional issues that are still unresolved. Yes it says in the constitution that we have the right to bear arms, or own guns. Does that mean that every other idiot out there should be sleeping with a grenade launcher under there pillow? NO!!! This is the problem the constitution promises people things that they should not have, like the right to hide there meth labs in there basement, or carry. semi-automatic handguns on them while the walk down the streets of New York. This is an out dated document that seems to have restricted one of the most powerful governments governments from doing what is write for there citizens! And one of the biggest reasons it is still around is probably nostalgia!

Yes I believe that the United States Constitution is a good document to run the country. It has run our country for over 200 years, making it the longest used constitution in the world. Also, it has run our country very well so far.

Yes our constitution has been around for some time, but has it really done a good job? It might have been sufficient in the 1800's but now it doesn't quite meet our needs. We now have large cities with many people in small places. As opposed to when our country was rural and groups of people were spread out. This makes our citizens easy targets. If a shooting were to break out in the middle of New York, twenty or thirty people could be on the ground dying before the assailant could be subdued. You might say that people could be carrying guns with them as stated in the constitution, but maniacs with mental problems also could carry one. Hunters in Maine have a legitimate reason to own a gun, someone that lives in downtown Chicago has no reason to own one. The constitution is not specific enough. It allows people to take advantage of their rights. The weaponry available to the people have changed. Rocket launchers and fully automatic sniper rifles don't need to be in the hands of anyone. The needs of the people have changed over the last 200 years.
