I do not believe in any religious god that has been presented to me so far. Lets argue that all religious gods are manmade stories.

How can a God that made everyone man made. We have physical evidence of his life on Earth called the Bible. What makes you think that God is not real?

First, let's be careful with what we are calling evidence. The bible is one of many religious texts that claims to have a story of the universe. I am not even trying to Debate religion because organized religion is completely ridiculous. As far as any existence in god, there is no evidence found to support a god at all. The idea of god was created to answer, at the time unanswerable questions, such as where the sun goes at night and why it rains. Science is continually answering more of these questions every day. It is paradoxical if you say that everything needs a creator, because what created god? I don't know if there is a god or not but I am sure not seeing any evidence to prove one.

Who or what do you think made you? You can say what created God but what created the big bangs gases was it just there or did something make it? The fact that God is knowable is evidenced by the very gift of the Bible as God"s revelation of Himself to man. In the Bible it tells you that God is incomprehensible. To say that God is incomprehensible is saying that and finite man cannot know everything about God who is an infinite being this is from Job11:7. Thus God cannot be known you just have to trust in him to accept that he is real.

Ockham's Razor is used constantly to defend religious belief. So many times it is said that God is the simplest solution to the existence of the universe. Science may be complicated, but it is at least understood by those who study it, so saying that existence through science is more complicated than the idea that some necessary being created the universe is merely saying that you have not studied science. Postulating a being that creates everything is more complicated because there is no way of understanding this being, there are questions regarding this being that cannot be answered; such as how this being came to exist, why this being is 'necessary' in the first place... Making it infinitely more complicated than a scientific solution.

Which is more complicated, a universe or an entity capable of creating a universe? What do you mean by "well designed"? How did you conclude the universe was designed? What would a universe that was not designed look like?

What did God do during that eternity before he created everything? If God was all that existed back then, what disturbed the eternal equilibrium and compelled him to create? Was he bored? Was he lonely? God is supposed to be perfect. If something is perfect, it is complete--it needs nothing else. We humans engage in activities because we are pursuing that elusive perfection, because there is disequilibrium caused by a difference between what we are and what we want to be. If God is perfect, there can be no disequilibrium. There is nothing he needs, nothing he desires, and nothing he must or will do. A God who is perfect does nothing except exist. A perfect creator God is impossible. The more you know the less you believe.

What is really disturbing about theism is that theists are happy using God as an excuse not to understand the Universe or how things operate in ordinary circumstances.

Either matter is eternal or God is eternal. Either God created the universe, or the universe for no apparent reason just decided to blow up and form an extremely complicated, intricate and well designed universe. I don't know about you, but it just kinda makes more sense to me.

Reasons for voting decision: Pro, you used the Bible as your only source, which Con basically said was not reliable. I agree with that, so Con gets the source point.

Reasons for voting decision: No one gets conduct as both ff. Reliable sources go to con because the Bible is not a reliable source. Arguments go to con because he made better arguments on why a god doesn't exist. Good debate!
