I find this to be a poem about love about longing and desire If you disagree then unless you have read the poem there is no point debating

con says
"This is defiantly not a love poem!!"
now con has to back up his assertion with proof

I will give proof of my assertion that this is a love poem
love defined to be
http://dictionary.reference.com...
"noun
1.
a profoundly tender, passionate affection for another person.
2.
a feeling of warm personal attachment or deep affection, as for a parent, child, or friend.
3.
sexual passion or desire"

in sense 3 sexual passion or desire
these lines are full of passion
"oh these syrupy fruity scents are sweet wine to my lips sweet wine upon which I do drunkard be"
here the protagonist is showing us his desire longing for what he wants

again
"oh I smell the fruity-essences I taste their kisses upon my lips"

here he is speaking of his his sexual desires passion
"oh
that fleshy pulp of spongy succulent sweet savory flesh
oh that I would churn up the juices of that cornucopia of eatable delights that fount of unimaginable syrupy tastes

now it is up to con to prove his assertion with proof ie examples from the poem

con says
"Love is subjective. Arguing love makes you a moron."
but
con has already told us that
"This is defiantly not a love poem!!
so con has applied some criteria in order to make this claim
so please tell us based on the criteria you used to say deans poem is not a love poem
why deans poem is not a love poem

as an aside
con has just got rid of 1000 years of love poetoy -for him there can be no love poetry as love is subjective

-if this poem was one of Shakespeare's love poems con would have no trouble debating

pain is subjective too but you know the objective criteria to know if someone is in pain-or cant you tell is somee is pain
same with love there are objective criteria
I gave the4 definition so debate it on those objective crieria

if con does not show us why deans poem is not a ove then he must loose the debate

"This is defiantly not a love poem!!
with out backing up his assertion ie "This is defiantly not a love poem!! WITHOUT proof con must LOOSE THIS debate
I have backed up my claim with example and analysis

Reasons for voting decision: I find this debate's entire premise to be nothing but spam on Pro's part. As such, though he would have won based on the resolution, I 1, find the resolution an abusive one, and 2, find this entire debate to be just spam. Pro isn't even trying to make a case that it's better (which he's done before)--he's now just constructing resolutions specifically to snipe a win. Con's conduct was bad, but Pro set this resolution up and, as spam, I am not interested in rewarding him for it.
