Hello and welcome to Islam Vs. Christianity: Who is the real Jesus? Prophet or God? Im hoping that we can have an intellgent debate and I ask that any practicing Muslim willing to defend their beliefs in Islam would join me.

The rounds will be structured as such:

Round 1: Personal introduction

Round 2: Main Argument Introduction

Round 3: 1st Rebuttal

Round 4: 2nd Rebuttal

Round 5: Last Rebuttal/Conclusion

I look forward to the upcoming debate and I will be arguing (Pro) Christianity.

Well, hi there, I hold myself to be a follower of Jesus, as a believer in one and true God, and I would happily try to debate from my side that the Christian view of Jesus, as the Saviour of the humanity is true, while Islamic claims about the nature of Jesus are rather unconvincing and do not generally fit in the ideas and prophecies of the Abrahamic religions, one of which Islam is, and all of which find its roots in the Judaism.
I personally do not specialise in Islam, however I do have some knowledge of the Islamic concepts of Jesus and God. Being Christian I have read the Bible and believe to know that part of the truth about the Trinity and God, which I was able to pick up and understand from the Bible.

I understand your point, but this is'int an opinion based question. Either these truth claims are true or they are false... These religions demand the answer

It's a more generalized version of begging the question.

What I'm saying is by your original question, you assume that one of them is correct, or is "the truth." This is what is called a false dichotomy, and cannot ever be used as a debate question in any context.

FlammableX, False Dichotomy? These two religions both depict drastically different doctrines on both..
1. The way to attain salvation
2. The attributes and character of God

These religions do not worship/follow the same deity all-though their are similarities

False dichotomy. This debate will not lead to intelligent conversation.
