Television Makes Children Violent And Aggresive, Depending On What Show It Is. Television Also Discourages Face To Face Interaction Among Children Or Families.

Warm greetings to all.......the topic here has a grammatical error.....it should be 'IS'.
Anyways moving on with my opposing side..i would say television after all insn't really harmfull because though being a entertaing source, it provides the youth with a whole new set of knowledge, through a study done by a US agency, it was declared that children's with too much of television have more IQ and a better outlook on the world.

Oh, Thank You For Pointing My Mistake Out For Me. Anyways... According To The National Institute of Mental Health, There Is A Consensus Developing Among Members Of The Research Community That Violence On TV Does Lead To Aggressive Behavior By Children And Teens. Research Indicates That Students May Be Less Able To Engage In Formal Descriptions Of Events Or Objects Than Their Peers In The Past. Dr. Rosemary Sage Of The University Of Leicesters School Of Education Attributes This Drop In Verbal Communication Skills To An Increase In TV Watching Among Youth At The Expense Of Communication With Their Parents Or Other Adults.

well my worthy opponent, I do appreciate your point here....but television has a huge set of themes and children will only see violence in some particular cartoons or movies, but when we talk about too much of television...children will be watching more of comedy, and melodrama as comedy sector contributes to 50% of television channel theme....and not to forget that certain news channels as well as informative channels gives a first class knowledge to our young generation and it is more interesting to learn from television as it displays practical examples which is far better than the bookish theoretical knowledge.
