I will argue that it is better to believe in the Christian God than none at all.

Rules:
No foul language and no help from the comments your family or friends and no bashing on my religion.

Hi. don't worry I will fallow your rules. I hope we can enjoy a fun fair argument. and please don't use the bible as evidence. using it does not prove anything nor will most except it as a usable source in most situations. I figured that round one was acceptance. okay your move.

Just so you know the word Christian means "One who lives according to the teachings of Jesus Christ." so the people who murder "in the name of Christ" aren't Christians also people who believe they'll go to heaven and don't care if they sin alot because " they've already accepted Jesus as their lord and savior." they're also not Christians.

Reasons being Christian is good:
1. Christians don't hold grudges or seek revenge.

There's lots of Bible verses that state this such as:

Matthew 5:44 (KJV)

44 But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you;

Matthew 5:22 (KJV)

22 But I say unto you, That whosoever is angry with his brother without a cause shall be in danger of the judgment: and whosoever shall say to his brother, Raca, shall be in danger of the council: but whosoever shall say, Thou fool, shall be in danger of hell fire.

and

Ephesians 4:26King James Version (KJV)

26 Be ye angry, and sin not: let not the sun go down upon your wrath:

2. Christians are generous.

Again there're alot of Biblical verses that say this such as:

Matthew 19:21-24 (KJV)

21 Jesus said unto him, If thou wilt be perfect, go and sell that thou hast, and give to the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven: and come and follow me.

22 But when the young man heard that saying, he went away sorrowful: for he had great possessions.

23 Then said Jesus unto his disciples, Verily I say unto you, That a rich man shall hardly enter into the kingdom of heaven.

24 And again I say unto you, It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle, than for a rich man to enter into the kingdom of God.

Proverbs 22:9 (NIRV)

Those who give freely will be blessed.
That"s because they share their food with those who are poor

and

Proverbs 14:3 (NIRV)

31
Anyone who crushes poor people makes fun of their Maker.
But anyone who is kind to those in need honors God.

3. Christians are honest

Again there're are lots of verses that support this such as:

Proverbs 6:19 (NIRV)

19 He (God) hates any witness who pours out lies

and anyone who stirs up conflict in the community.

Colossians 3:9 (KJV)
Lie not one to another, seeing that ye have put off the old man with his deeds;

Hebrews 13:18 (KJV)
- Pray for us: for we trust we have a good conscience, in all things willing to live honestly.

Proverbs 11:3 (KJV)
- The integrity of the upright shall guide them: but the perverseness of transgressors shall destroy them.

and

Exodus 20:16 - Thou shalt not bear false witness against thy neighbour.

4. Christians are hospital.

Again there are lots of verses about hospitality such as:

Hebrews 13:2(KJV) - Be not forgetful to entertain strangers: for thereby some have entertained angels unawares.

1 Peter 4:9 (KJV)- Use hospitality one to another without grudging

Mark 9:41 - For whosoever shall give you a cup of water to drink in my name, because ye belong to Christ, verily I say unto you, he shall not lose his reward.

and

Romans 16:2 (NIRV)

2 I ask you to receive her as one who belongs to the Lord. Receive her in the way God"s people should. Give her any help she may need from you. She has been a great help to many people, including me

5. Christians are thankful.

1 Thessalonians 5:18 (KJV)
- In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.

Ephesians 5:20 (KJV)
Always give thanks to God the Father for everything. Give thanks to him in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Just so you know NIRV stands for New International Reader's Version and KJV stands for King James' Version.

(I think you you expected a science debate about benefits of being Christian not an all Bible verse debate.)

Since nobody could disprove or prove Gods existence there's still a chance even if small that he exists which means heaven and hell has has a chance of existing too and only good Christians can go to heaven. Okay now time for math on average a person lives 80-85 years so about 82.5 years and on average a worship service is one hour and thirty minutes and your expected to go to church at 6-7 years old so you have to go to church for about 4,742.4 hours in your life time for an eternity in heaven or you could spend 0 hours in church and an eternity in hell your pick.

I will not proceed if I do not get permission to use the Bible as evidence. (see comment below.)

Sorry, but I have to use the Bible as evidence cause the word Christian means One who lives according to the teachings of Jesus Christ." and what is the Bible but God's teachings ?

May I proceed ? If not that's ok I'll just post this debate again.
