War has been around since the beginning of humans and continues to be a controversial topic today. Going to war is both a serious and horrifying notion. Most argue that if a country were to eventually surrender to its adversary after losing the war, why not make peace in the first place and prevent unnecessary casualties? This would seem ideal. However, it is a lot easier to go to war than to achieve peace. One of the main causes of war is that two nations or multiple nations are unable to come to an understanding with each other. In this case, trying to achieve peace without any conflict is difficult as both sides want terms that benefit them.

There bound to be some violent leaders at some point. These people show aggression and the strength of their nation through warfare. Peace is such a difficult thing achieve compared to war. Look at the third world countries, rebels fighting government forces for example.
