It is paradoxical to use two antonyms to mean each other.

Sorry for forfeiting round 2. Let's defined the words "paradoxical"

Paradoxical: seemingly absurd or self-contradictory [1].

Take the words "dumb" and "smart," for example.

Dumb:

1.
lacking intelligence or good judgment; stupid; dull-witted [2].

Smart:

8.
having or showing quick intelligence or ready mental capability [2].

For example, let's say you say "smart" to mean "dumb" and say "dumb" to mean "smart."

A scenario demonstrating my case:

1. Someone gets a zero on your test. You tell them that they are dumb.
2. They get a 100 on their test. You tell them that they are smart.

Because a zero is a sign of stupidity, you contradict yourself by saying "dumb" and yet really meaning "smart."

Because a 100 is a sign of intelligence, saying "smart" is paradoxical when it means "dumb."

Back to you.
