This poetry
http://www.scribd.com...
has been maligned "rabid, trite, urine-soaked, pseudo-erotic, pseudo-goth blandishment"s

I disagree with these comments
http://www.debate.org...
quote
".....it us hard to imagine anybody else being a fan of her rabid, trite, urine-soaked, pseudo-erotic, pseudo-goth blandishments."

I find the poetry quite beautiful

I argue someone has said this of the poetry. My opponent has posted the link in his argument, so I have nothing more to say. Vote PRO.

""That was shockingly amazing! I love the Irony between the name ....and the imagery of the seduction. The poem was transportive, I felt that I was there in the room with the lovers, experiencing the awe of the man as he worshipped the wonder of the woman's sex. Good work and very unique writing.

This isn't about debating for you, however, it is about advertising, as have been all your past debates. The fact of the matter is, people don't just dislike this person, but their work is so bad that they are astounded fans of it exist. And you've shown us the source yourself. You're allowed to disagree, because you're allowed to be wrong. However, it is of course true that someone dislikes this poet and their poetry. In fact, it seems everyone except you likes them. And as that was the resolution, you are, without doubt, wrong.

Vote PRO!

Then it's perfect. I think having a small but fully operational cannon perform it would be a nice touch.

Is the final "boom" a part of the poem?

Collin Dean.
Sucky. Stupid. Mean.
He sucks at poetry, that's no lie
This debate just proves he sucks at life
Desperate, hopeless, and attention-hungry
He makes poetry debates in a hurry.
Good old attentionwhore Collin Dean
as disgusting as Harry Potter every flavor beans
Oh how he wishes he has talent at something
debating, poetry writing, insulting...nothing
In the end despite all his practice on the net
He is as sucky as Squidward on the clarinet

BOOM

Are you related to Richard Dawkins? He has a similar vocabulary when he dislikes something.

Remember that scene in "Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy" when the Vogon Commander strapped the protagonists to a table and forced them to listen to his terrible poetry or else be thrown out the airlock into space?

You, Shakuntala, are that Vogon

Reasons for voting decision: pro pulled a quick one to quickly prove that someone HAS called the poetry the things it has been called. Possibly the easiest win ever.

Reasons for voting decision: The resolution was that the poetry has been called "rabid, trite, urine-soaked, psuedo-erotic, psuedo-goth blandishments." The resolution was not that the poem is better than the description, merely that it has been described that way. Con clearly meant to say that the poem was good, but didn't phrase the resolution properly. And for the record, it would be difficult to imagine a poem worse than the one linked to.

Reasons for voting decision: I don't see why this was a debate, the resolution was affirmed by con himself giving the link to someone saying that about the poem. That there are other reviews of it, doesn't change the nature of the single one. SOURCES: While it was nice of con to give those meaningful sources, pro flipped them and claimed victory using information contained inside. A flipped source, I consider to be massively in favor of whoever turned it around.
