It would be better to live in a zombie apocalypse because:
nuclear war radiates the ground stopping the ability to plant
you would die a terrible radiation death with out a has-mat suit depending on how much radiation you were exposed to
you don't need to worry about food being radioactive

I, Con, will be arguing that being a lifeform in a nuclear winter would be statistically better than being a lifeform in a zombie apocalypse. I will be using this round to define both, the next to put forth my argument as well as rebut my opponent, and the final round to make any additional arguments, rebuttals, and make a conclusion.

Sorting Separate Semantics and Such

Nuclear Winter - A Nuclear Winter scenario is typically compartmentalized through 6 classes.[1][2] These will be defined briefly in the following sentences.

Nuclear Winter Classifications

Minimal Nuclear Winter - Comparatively small attack, little cloud cover, little to no environmental consequences.
Marginal Nuclear Winter - A few attacks on urban, populated centers in a contained nuclear conflict, temperature loss in Northern hemisphere, agricultural shortage and famine, thirst and drought with little experience of precipitation, all staying very high in the atmosphere. Southern hemisphere not affected due to wind currents and number of targets in North. Death count from winter equivalent to attack itself.
Nominal Nuclear Winter - Result of the smallest extent of a full-scale nuclear war, 6000 to 12000 nuclear warheads detonated. Temperature drop of 10 degrees (18.3 in Fahrenheit) in the Northern climate, 33% darker Sun due to cloud traffic. Traffic clears in following months, Sun is hotter, solar and cosmic radiation will increase measurably. The South would notice no major climate alteration.
Substantial Nuclear Winter - Full scale nuclear war. Billions die. Ozone layer in the North obliterated, subzero temperatures, radiation far and wide, many clouds covering the sky nearly completely, pollution, few instances of rain (sometimes acid), plants barely grow, crops are all defective, huge spike in species extinction, civilization collapse. South may experience something similar depending on how many warheads hit the South.
Severe Nuclear Winter - 1% of normal sunlight for months, international Ice Age, agricultural Dark Age, famine, pollution, nearly every species endangered, humans included.
Extreme Nuclear Winter - Extinction of nearly all species on Earth, life difficult to detect, Earth is entirely black.

Zombie Outbreak - In typical classification, there are 4 types of zombie apocalypses,[3] defined in the following sentences.

Zombie Apocalypse

CLASS 1 - About one to twenty-ish zombies, local response, 20 mile radius maximum, rural area, light media coverage, duration of 1 to 14 days, no quarantine.
CLASS 2 - Twenty to a hundred zombies in an urban area, immediate military and local response. Duration similar to CLASS 1, several hundred human casualties, several block radius to one hundred mile range. Military will deploy more riot control and medical assistance than anything. Media will cover, though likely inaccurately.
CLASS 3 - Thousands of zombies over hundreds of miles, initial state of chaos. After a while, emergency quarantines will be put in place, travel and communication restrictions, rationed resources, and full acknowledgement of the event worldwide. Heavy military response. Heavy casualties.
CLASS 4 - Doomsday. Worldwide infestation. Chaos. No governments. Pure anarchy. Militaries dissolve. Crime rates extreme. Brink of extinction. Chemical and nuclear industries break down regularly, causing many areas to become toxic and unsafe. The air is dangerous to breathe, animals are likely infected as well, and symptoms may change regularly. Leaders may emerge, but won't survive for long. Likely result will be zero to a billion human survivors, spread across the world.

I will wait for my opponent to either accept or amend these definitions before making my argument in the following Round.

Well, it'd save a round if you just accepted my definitions now and posted them in your first round once you ever get around to rematching me.

Zombies do not as they are dead and vaccines don't work on people who are already dead
