DEFINITIONS

Scrub: Someone who isn't new to a game but intentionally plays it in a very noob-like way to troll people. Examples include campers, knifers and loose-aggressive poker players or tight-passive poker players etc. Scrubs can be efficient or totally inefficient at what they do, they don't do it for the efficiency, to them their playstyle is an art.

Noob:

TWO VERSIONS

AGGRESSIVE VERSION: Someone new to a game who blatantly flaunts their inexperience and proudly tries to put themselves in situations like 1v2 or even 1v1 where they know they are going to lose but instead of admitting they are bad and hiding and sneaking like a scrub would do they deny everything about the game and walk straight into fire. At times noobs can luck out and completely shock the opponent(s) with how brave a move they make and totally wipe them out as the enemy was never prepared for an attack there and then.

PASSIVE VERSION: These noobs are often confused for scrubs because they are intelligent enough to know they aren't good at the game itself and they tend to develop a 'safe' playstyle but when I say safe I mean that if you back them into a wall with a gun pointed to them they will literally back into the wall and try to shoot the wall down so they can maybe escape you somehow. These players will literally only get a single kill or point in a game if the opponent is so stupid that they think the person is somehow baiting them into a trap (which is understandable as people tend to fake being passive noobs to bait people into traps). These players literally play for second place in any last man standing game. On top of that, their aim in a teamfight isn't to assist their team to attack the enemy, it's to let the others in their team be bodybags for them to escape.

ARGUMENT

Scrubs are people who struggle to cope with the adaptability and fast paced altering of playstyle required to excel at a game by any standard means. They are players who come up with a unique way of playing that often will shock and/or aggravate opponents and since people play games worse when on tilt (angered), by pushing the opponents' psychological state to become aggressive, the scrub can further hide and sneak attack with more prowess as the opponents are running faster and not looking as hard since they are angry. Scrubs are that one guy on the team who thinks that KS stands for kill-secure. They are that guy in a last-man-standing game who think the game is to be taken literally and will wait out until everyone else is so tired from trying they give up and 'sit' so only the scrub is left standing. They are the type of players who, when someone picks a direct counter-style to them, show off how good they are at their playstyle that they can even defeat the counter-style by pure skill. they defeat water with fire by evaporating it. They defeat camping with better aim and sniping the other sniper. They defeat knifing by going full Rambo and jumping into a heap of enemies to confuse the other knifer and then knife one idiot after another as they all assume another guy in the 'gang' is going to kill them. They master their style and master how to abuse it. Instead of mastering how to adapt to the environment they master how to never need to do so.

Noobs are people who either know they are bad (passive) or are totally oblivious to the fact (aggressive). Either way, they don't learn from mistakes. The notion that 'we all began as noobs' is a common adage amongst pros but this is untrue. real pros were never noobs, they were bad at the game and knew it but tried to mix aggression and passivity and improved their recipe as they went along. Noobs are either one extreme or the other. You do get noobs that are split personality and once cornered literally become aggressive noobs and will walk into your sword so they can stab you. Force-tie noobs are a hybrid type. Another hybrid type is the type that will run up to you and then run back thinking they messed up. in other words they actually almost got a kill but they were like 'wait this is too easy, I'm being tricked he can't also be as bad as me...'

Scrubs enjoy the game whether their style gets stomped on in that particular game or not. It isn't about winning or stats, it's about showing off their style. It's about saying, hey look at me I have no armor because I build full damage and kamikaze 1v3 because my death is worth the 3 kills muahahaha. They know what they are doing but what they do is sometimes not what would be the best idea if they want to truly win the game. Noobs are constantly confused about what to do and instead of concluding what to do they skip the thinking part and act on pure instinct. Noobs not only are undeniable worse at the game itself than scrubs but they are more likely than scrubs to end up angry at the game or even worse, crying at how bad they are. Scrubs laugh at how bad they do when their style gets countered, they take pride in the fact the opponent worked so hard at altering their style just to counter them (even if their opponent is simply coincidentally a scrub who specializes in the counter). Scrubs are narcissists who love their egomania, noobs suffer from either PTSD (passive noobs) or ADHD (aggressive noobs).

Not at all. The better players will go form being a noob to being a novice simply by opening their eyes and seeing that playing one extreme or the other isn't how you win. You can't permanently 'risk' and can't permanently 'not risk' you need to balance it out.

Many noobs once they become novices go on to become amateurs, others stay as novices and quit the game for good in anger. Amateurs are where the majority of players will remain. From amateur one either becomes a genuine pro, mastering many playstyles and using their skills at a playstyle to play against that playstyle with its counter. The other lot of amateurs will become scrubs, who become specialists in one (or maximum 2) very specific playstyles in the game. They will be devastatingly good when people don't pick their counter-style but if people know what he scrubs particular way of playing is, the scrub is very easy to handle because a Pro will use the counter style and have practised using it so won't slip up either. Scrubs only cope with counter-styles by hoping the enemy doesn't play it very well.

So we have the following scenarios of what a noob becomes:

Noob - > Noob until rage-quit
Noob - > Novice - > Novice until rage quit
Noob - > Novice - > Amateur - > Peaks at Amateur
Noob - > Novice - > Amateur - > Expert/Pro
Noob - > Novice - > Amateur - > Scrub

Only the last scenario is the case that Con suggests occurs for all noobs. Even so, if a noob does become a scrub they are better off as a scrub then they ever were as a noob and that's why they strived to become it.

See that makes sense. I can't understand you because of the language barrier. Got it.

But I'm still not gonna lie. I have no idea what you're trying to communicate to me.

Wow, Vi, still going on with the "never been beaten" gig? What was your excuse again for losing almost 400 debates?
