Kongregate.com is the best flash-gaming website on the web for the following reasons:

1. No pop-ups
2. Huge selection of games (11,949 currently)
3. Badges (achievements)
4. Kreds/tips
5. Ad revenue is partly shared with game developers
6. good community and forums
7. Video game-making tutorials

Good luck to you, PoeJoe

My opponent has proposed the resolution, "Kongregate.com is the best flash-gaming website on the internet." I disagree. It is my belief that Newgrounds.com is a better flash-gaming website. If Newgrounds.com (from now on known as "Newgrounds") is a better flash-gaming website than Kongregate.com (from now on known as "Knogregate), then Kongregate cannot possibly be the "best" flash-gaming website on the internet.

My opponent's criteria in grading a flash-gaming website (from now on abbreviated "FGW") is that it (1) does not employ pop-ups, that it (2) has a huge selection of games, that it (3) has community awards, that it (4) uses a point system, that it (5) shares its ad revenue with game developers, that it (6) has a good community w/ forums, and that it (7) has video game making tutorials. I agree with these criteria. But Newgrounds always passes these criteria just as good or better as/than Kongregate.

(1) No pop-ups. Both Knogregate and Newgrounds do not have pop-ups. This criteria is negligible.

(2) Huge selection of games. Kongregate has 12230 games while Newgrounds has a total of 149509 flashes. Newgrounds has a much greater selection.[1]

(3/4) Badges and kreds. Newgrounds has a better system of badges and rewards. First of all, the system is much more intricate, with experience, levels, badges, and whistle levels. The whole thing is very grand indeed -- much more intricate than Kongregate.[5] Some users have spent upwards of ten years on their stats![6]

(5) Ad revenue is partly shared with game developers. Newgrounds also shares its ad revenue with game developers.[2] Newgrounds has a better system though. First, a precise algorithm can be made to distribute the wealth for flashes made in collaboration. Secondly, Newgrounds is a top 500 site, which gets upwards of 500000 unique visitors per day.[3] The possible money is so high, mid-level users such as Afro-Ninja can make a living off their flashes.[4] Mind you, he is just one unsigned flash developer who has turned his hobby into a living -- he is just one of many, and one not affiliated with a big company.

(6) Good community and forums. Newgrounds has a better community. It has a very active forum. Friendships, popular users, lingo, feuds, mainstream mentions, groups and crews, and much more are abundant. I encourage my opponent to look at the many results of this Google search: http://www.google.com...

(7) Video game making tutorials. Newgrounds has much more tutorials -- 2269 in total[7] -- including a page dedicated to archiving the very best ones.[8]

Furthermore, Newgrounds is famous for creating the first fully automated portal -- more than five years before YouTube.[9] Newgrounds is a fundamental part of Internet history. It even played a crucial part on the issue of free speech on the Internet (see source). Not to mention, it is the biggest, most complex, most visited, most discussed flash portal on the web. Kongregate is just another ripoff that Newgrounds has inspired.

NEGATED.

Newgrounds rocks.

And no one would go for nuclear conflict even if they knew the other side wouldn't shoot back lol.

Lololol. You're a much better sport than I am; I would find an obscure way to link NG to nuclear war.

I can't argue this point. I could try to say that a smaller community is better or some other crap but newgrounds kicks kongregate's a**
