PREFACE;
Welcome Everyone! Today, I will challenging someone to a debate over this year's first LD resolution. You must have a minimum of 10 debates completed in order to accept. This to avoid any debater from just creating an account and accepting. I look forward to a wonderful deate, and I hope the competition will be tough! This debate will be in LD format!

Full Topic:
A just society ought to presume consent for organ procurement from the deceased

Format:
Round 1 Pro: Explains rules
Round 1 Con: Acceptance

Round 2 Pro: Presents his case ( 9,000 characters only.)
Round 2 Con: Presents his/her Case and Rebuts to opponent's case (10,000 characters)

Round 3 Pro: Rebuts to Con'scase (6,000 characters only.)
Round 3 Con: Rebut's to Pro's case (10,000 characters)

Round 4 Pro: Rebuts to con's case (5,000 characters only)
Round 4 Con: Types in "no round as agreed upon"

I'm pretty sure that that is the best format in order to try and replicate an LD debate. If the format isn't good, just say so in the comments, and I'll try to change it so that it best fits the LD format.

Rules:
No forefeiting
No trolling
All Sources must be cited
The format must be followed
Faluire to follow any of these rules will result in a loss
================================================
I look forward to an awesome debate

@bbbabyii I really don't want to be mean or come off as being a bad person - but you are clearly just trying to get some information from me for something, or you are just trying to troll me. Either way, I would appreciate it if you please go away, and disturb me no longer. I'm not interested in a "relationship" and I'm not interested in knowing what you look like. I do not like to give my email to random strangers - and I certainly cannot trust you if you have made an account just 3 hours ago. Again, I don't mean to be rude - but just get the hell out of here!

yes - for both of your rounds you will have 10,000 characters. I have limited myself in order to make the debate fair

So, just for clarification, in the first round I have 10,000 characters for my case and refutations right?

Con has to do a little more work on this to be sure, but I've debated something like this before, and there are a number of good arguments that Con can pull out in order to win it. Mainly, it's just a matter of showing that the number of organs procured won't increase by as much as Pro might state, and then spends a lot of time on religious objection and what it means.

Ok, awesome =) Just a side note, personally I feel that this resolution is slightly on favor of affirmitive. I can see the types of arguments negative will make, but I think any affirmitive well prepared could win.

I'll be happy to, and we can discuss a topic after I'm done with this exam of mine.

@whiteflame yes, I understand what you are saying and will make sure I mention that in the debate. As much as I would like to debate you, whiteflame, you are just way above my level, lol. I doubt I could give you too serious of a challenge. But anyway, thanks for the clarification on the amount of characters. And if you ever feel that you want to debate, you can message me. Oh and also, will you vote on this debate? No compulsion to do so, just asking. =)

An interesting topic, but sadly I don't have time to do it. Just one thing - I can't help but notice that Con will have one less round to post than you. I dont think this was set up maliciously, as I think you're basing it on upholding the speaking order in LD debates. However, the problem is that the reason that balances out in LD is because you're given variable speaking times. The total speaking times are equal between the two debaters. In this case, that would not be so, as you would have access to 1.5 times the amount of space your opponent will. You could set up a rule for yourself that would make it reasonable: let's say that you set the character count 10,000, but limit yourself to posting 2 rounds of 7,500 characters and 1 of 5,000 characters. That way, the total character count is the same in the end, and the terms of the debate would be reasonable.
