On November 22, 1963, President John F. Kennedy was assassinated during a trip to Dallas, TX. Hours later, Lee Harvey Oswald was arrested, and charged with the murder of the President of the United States. Unfortunately, before Oswald could stand trial, he was murdered by nightclub owner Jack Ruby. Oswald never confessed to murdering President Kennedy.

Despite the Warren Commission's conclusion that Lee Harvey Oswald acted alone, many conspiracy theories have developed among those who believe that Oswald was framed, or a member of some sort of conspiracy.

THESIS: I contend that Lee Harvey Oswald acted alone. The evidence from the assassination shows that this is the most likely hypothesis. No other theory explains the evidence as well as the theory of Oswald's guilt, and Oswald's alone. I welcome a debate on this subject.

DEBATE RULES:

Round 3: Rebuttal to Arguments in Chief (At least 3 paragraphs. Con's rebuttal shall NOT be a rebuttal of Pro's rebuttal, rather a rebuttal of Pro's argument in chief)
Round 4: Closing Argument

Thesis: I contend that someone else had to have shot JFK, I believe that lee Harvey Oswald had no knowledge about what was going to happen, you will see through preponderance of the evidence that it would have been near impossible for lee Harvey Oswald to commit the crime

There were weaknesses in all three elements of the case against Lee Harvey Oswald as the lone assassin of President Kennedy:
1.The first claim, that all of the shooting came from the easternmost south"facing window on the sixth floor of the Texas School Book Depository, was supported by some of the eye"witness evidence but was strongly contradicted by the medical and photographic evidence.
2.The second claim, that Oswald had brought a rifle to work and was on the sixth floor with the rifle at the time of the shooting, was contradicted by all of the relevant, credible evidence. None of this evidence was conclusive, however, so the claim remained plausible.
3.The third claim, that it was physically possible for a lone gunman to have caused all the known injuries with only three shots, turned out to be emphatically contradicted by the medical, photographic and eye"witness evidence.

next look to the witnesses
two witnesses who saw Oswald carrying a bag on the morning of the assassination, were insistent that the bag was too small to have contained a rifle
doctors in Dallas claimed that President Kennedy"s throat wound was one of entrance
The police motorcyclist who was riding to the president"s right, also claimed that Kennedy and Connally were injured by separate bullets this is key because its not dimsmissing oswald but it does flaw the premiss that my opponent presented.
