I will be debating the topic of suicide by chemical assistance by a doctor or medical physician. There are many diseases and conditions that humans unfortunately have to live and suffer through even if their future is only said to be on the decline. If there is no treatment available or if treatment is no longer an option, (meaning it would do more harm than good " if the condition is too advanced for the treatment to work) there is no choice to be made and the person must endure whatever comes before their bodies finally give up. Without listing all of the horrible symptoms that these people endure, it could be said that they have no choice but to sit and suffer through the last days of their life before their body finally shuts down and gives up. Of course there are going to be people who hang on to the last days of their lives and feel blessed to live another day, but on the other hand there could be people who are ready to move on and shed the pain and suffering that goes along with life (for them). Shouldn't there be another option for these people?

I think that the paitent should lie the rest of their life with the disease. I think this because well, this is tough, because the paitent should get to expierence life, get to spend more time with family members, children, spouse, etc, and they should be able to do what they can before their time runs out, if you get what im pointing at.

Although I agree that they should spend the most time with their family before they die, this is only my opinion. Shouldn"t that be left up to them? That person was able to make decisions for themselves during the other part of their life. Why all of a sudden is it not ok for them to make decisions now?

What would be necessary for you to switch sides in this argument? Would there ever be a situation in your opinion that made it ok to legally euthanize? Would there be a specific condition or disease that had specific symptoms that would make it ok for someone to commit suicide by chemical drugs? What if they didn"t have any family or friends and they were all alone having to deal with so much pain? Would there be any situation that would make it ok for physician assisted suicide?
