Legalization Of Marijuana

Thank you to whoever accepts this debate, i will let my opponent begin.

Hey, I have decided to accept this. I would love to begin. Well first of all Marijuana is terrible for you. Some people may not even use it as medication. Yes I understand it can be used for helping the Ill but there may be other drugs to help with that, that we have not discovered yet.

Thank you for accepting my debate.

First we will start off with some basic facts

1. Marijuana is a supplementary medicine. Although it is mistakenly seen as bad because of the smoking aspect, it is also a way of numbing pain for medicinal purposes.

2. Studies show marijuana does not kill brain cells. It actually stimulates certain regions of the brain that are not usually used, causing the blurred sense of vision, and heightened senses.

3. Although the smoking aspect can be bad for the lungs, marijuana is not necessarily bad for you in small doses. I do not in believe punishing those who need the drug for medicinal purposes on behalf of those who abuse it.

4. As in any other subject there is always a good and bad side to everything. ANYTHING can be harmful to you if you use it in excess.

5. Although there is evidence pointing towards the cons of marijuana there are also many factual points fighting for the pros.

I will be awaiting your next argument.

My argument is not to allow marijuana to be smoked for recreation so please do not argue towards that point. I am merely stating it should be legalized.
