Gay Marriage should be legalized in the US for homosexuals and/or bisexuals. Homosexuals should be able to legally marry whomever they choose, no matter if the individual is of the same sex.

Gay marriage is wrong. Marriage should only be between a man and a woman. Gay people are exposing society to behaviors that are not okay. Gay marriage is stopping the human race from reproducing,and Gay marriage causes non-discrimination laws which keeps people from believing what they want to believe. In other words it's influencing society and making people be forced to not speak out against gay marriage.

However, the definition of marriage is the "legally or formally recognized union of a man and a woman (or, in some jurisdictions, two people of the same sex) as partners in a relationship." Therefore, marriage does not have to be only between a man and women. Gay marriage is technically not stopping the human race from procreation. Recent studies found that using the DNA of a female mouse and tweaking the chromosomes, you can create female sperm. Women have the XX chromosome which makes them female. Due to the fact that before genders was decided in the womb, all humans had both XX and XY chromosomes. The studies show that gathering the DNA of the female and changing the chromosomes to create an XY chromosome, female mice can make sperm and fertilize the egg. The same can be said for men, where the male mice XY chromosomes can be changed to create an egg. Scientists are constantly changing and editing the formula to make the procedure available for humans.

The First amendment of the United States constitution is the right of Freedom of speech, which has clearly been used for the people who are against gay marriage. Hostility and discrimination has been used against gays for years with numerous hate crimes as well. More than 14% of all hate crimes are towards homosexuals, which ranked the third highest category of hate crimes. Also twelve states have made job discrimination based on sexual orientation, which enacted the Employment Nondiscrimination Act or ENA.

Human beings are given three unalienable rights. As stated in the Declaration of Independence, "We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness." If a person wishes to pursue happiness legally in another person, that person should be, by human rights, able to practice pursuing happiness as they see fit. Aren't all Men created equal, as stated in the Declaration of Independence? This statement was meant to apply to all people and not one specific group.

Studies have shown that gay marriage has decreased the number of children in adoption centers and homes. More than 6 million to 14 million children live in a household with at least one set of gay parents. LGBTQ parents raise up to 4% of the worlds adopted children. The influx of gay marriages makes for a lesser number of children who are put in adoption homes and never adopted. This makes the child in question be able to settle in a stable home rather than a series of substandard foster homes. Also the children who live with same sex parents have statistically shown that the children have less social and academic problems as opposed to a heterosexual family household. If the parents are not married, however, that shifts the stability that would otherwise be strong had the homosexual couple be married.

Although studies have shown that adoptions have increased due to gay marriage. Studies have also shown that children are 10 times more likely to be sexually abused by their own parents. "Children raised by a lesbian mother were 10 times more likely to have been "touched sexually by a parent or other adult caregiver" (23% reported this, vs. only 2% for children of married biological parents), while those raised by a homosexual father were 3 times more likely (reported by 6%)".

As to the last argument, posted in round 2. Lots of testing is still needed in that type of reproduction. It is still a very unstable method of reproduction, and most importantly the health of the child is at risk. The child could be born with disabilities, In which the child will not be able to live a normal life. And it is not normal. That way of reproduction is not traditional, it still needs lots of testing.

The First Amendment of the United States Bill of Rights signifies the separation of the state and religion. This also shows how no one person or group of person shall infringe on someone Else's freedom of speech, press, and assemble. In the Bill of rights, "Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble..." Therefore, while religion might disagree, has no say or do with the affairs of state law or court.

Gay Marriages can also help boost the economy by supporting the government fiscally. Marriages licenses and income taxes from married couples bring in revenue to spend for any programs needed within the state. 10% of New York's marriage licences are made up of gay marriages. Stores used in marriage occasions such cake stores, flower boutiques ,etc. have reported profit values rising due to the numerous gay marriages occurring in states that have legalized gay marriage. States like New York have reportedly said 259 million dollars has entered its economy since the legalization of gay marriage. With the payment of reception halls, hotels and restaurants the economy of New York became boosted on just weddings alone. Massachusetts has also reported of $111 million entering its economy on gay weddings after legalizing gay marriage as well.

If marriage was only used for procreation, infertile women or couples who do not wish to have children should be banned from marriage as well. "According to the U.S. Census Bureau"""s Current Population Survey, in 2014, 47.6 percent of women between age 15 and 44 had never had children, up from 46.5 percent in 2012."(1) This percentage is the highest of childless women since the Bureau began collecting this information. Also the cost and time needed in raising child is expensive.

Reverting back to my previous argument in round one, the refusal of allowing certain people to marry allows the act of discrimination to occur and can create a type of second class. Discrimination has already been served to minorities, the disabled and the poor as well, which to those who are wealthy or better living citizen, makes them believe that they are better than minorities or disabled people.(1)
