Today, many missed calls by umpires seem to effect outcomes of games. Having things like adding runs that shouldnt be runs, putting people on base that shouldn't be there, and so on, can completely change who wins and loses a game. My proposal for fixing this problem is to adopt a system of instant replay similar to the NFL. In the NFL, only certain aspects of the game can be put up for review, and the coach has a limit to how many times he can ask for replay review. Also, there are certain points in the game where only the officials can decide if a certain play can be put up for review. My proposal is very similar to this.

What can be reviewed:
Fair or Foul Ball
Runner out or safe
Fan interference
Ball hitting the roof
Home runs

What can not be reviewed:
Balls and Strikes
Check Swings

If these rules were always in place, many famous games could've had different results such as:
Steve Bartman game
Derek Jeter's fan caught home run in ALDS
Game 6 Cardinals vs. Royals
Armando Gallaraga's imperfect game

My rule would be that each coach will have one challenge that they can use before the 7th inning. After this, the umpire will determine if a play is reviewable.

Unlike football, these replays will take less time as calls in baseball tend to be more straight forward. Pitchers will not have to worry too much about losing their rhythm on the mound. Technology today has become so advanced, it's a big surprise that baseball hasn't expanded their replay system. This is the MLB, the best of the best. Letting a blown call effect a game takes away the integrity of baseball. It's time we take away the crying from baseball.

While your idea has some valid points, I believe that a swing should be able to be reviewed. If a batter swings at a ball so slyly the umpire doesn't catch it, the player will be walked. The pitcher would become wildly discouraged -and if you're a pitcher like Aj Burnett, that loses his cool quickly- the game could be wildly changed. On the contrary, a batter could strike out because of a ball if an umpire can't review a play, and again, it would transform the outcome. While it would take up less time, I think it's an important part of the game.

Takes more time, but you've got to get the call right.

they only use instant replay to review home runs that are questionable nothing else.

I would have accepted this argument by i am 100% for more use of instant replay so i would not be able to create an argument against it :P
