Pro

Marihuana should be legal
Varrack

Con

Marijuana not be legal because:

1. Second-hand smoking is a result, which harms people nearby who are not using marijuana.
2. Legalization will increase availability, which will lead to more people harming themselves.
3. Taking marijuana before driving doubles the chance of a car crash [http://www.bmj.com...]

The resolution is negated.

Reasons for voting decision: Conduct: No insults or forfeits were committed, thus, no points are awarded to PRO nor CON for better conduct. Spelling and Grammar: CON's grammar was fine, and PRO spelled 'marijuana' 'marihuana,' even though PRO was referring to marijuana in general and not just for medical purposes and under programs, therefore, spelling marijuana wrong. Thus, points are awarded to CON for better spelling and grammar. Arguments: PRO failed to present an argument or refute, and CON presented arguments which were totally uncontested, thus, points are awarded to CON for more convincing arguments. Sources: CON used a source to support his/her arguments, and PRO didn't, thus, points are awarded to CON for more reliable sources. PRO, next time, make some more rounds and think things through a little.

Reasons for voting decision: Conduct: Conduct is tied, as both sides maintained reasonable conduct. | S&G: Pro spelled "marijuana" as "marihuana", with an "h". Con made no spelling or grammatical errors. While it is only a typo, in a one-round debate, the smallest errors count. S&G to Con. |Arguments: Pro made no arguments to support their case, only re-stating the title, while Con provided 3 reasons to keep marijuana illegal. | Sources: Con used the only source in the debate. | 6 points to Con. | As always, happy to clarify this RFD.

Reasons for voting decision: Con actually seemed to care about this debate, had more than one point, and used a source. Pro just restated the title of this debate.

Reasons for voting decision: Well that was disappointing.

Argument = Con | Pro had... a complete sentence, I guess that's something, but...
Sources = Con | One is better than none

Reasons for voting decision: It is quite obvious who won this so called debate. Varrack provided a convincing argument, had better grammar, and had a source to support his argument.

Reasons for voting decision: Pro misspelt Marijuana and didn't end their sentence with a period/full-stop. Con used sources and an argument whereas Pro had none of either.

Reasons for voting decision: Varrack offered a source and the Pro did not, giving sources to Con. Varrack offered 3 good reasons, while Pro does not fill BOP and simply says "Marijuana should be legalized", offering zero evidence or stats or reasoning at least
