King-La-Ding

Pro

This is the full King La Ding sponsored resolution: Medicare in the U.S is barred by the Medicare drug benefit passed in 2003 from negotiating prices of pharmaceuticals with private companies, King La Ding contends as pro that Medicare should be able to negotiate with private companies, because the benefits outweigh the negatives.

They were bouncing in the street.
Not the chicken just the feet.
marxian_ginger

Con

Alternatively, private pharmaceutical companies should be abolished and the state should provide medical care for its people without capitalism and profit as a motive for companies to raise prices and such. However, that is in many ways a whole different topic.
Regardless, I am interested as to what the benefits that supposedly carry more weight than the negatives are, in order for me to form a better argument against your position.
