My position is that men should not be able to decide whether or not a woman should get an abortion. They should be able to have their voices heard on the matter, both politically and privately, but the ultimate decision should be made by the women whom the decision would affect.

Thank you for starting this debate. I would like to clear up one thing first, that while men should not have the ultimate decision, they have just as much of a right to dictate the issue of abortion as women.

Good luck, and I like forward to a fun and informative debate.

How about a joke?

So a blonde, a brunette, and a redhead just died and were at the steps of Heaven. God told them "there are 1000 steps to Heaven. On every step, I will tell you a joke, and if you don't laugh once you get to go to Heaven."

The brunette lasted 14 steps before laughing, the redhead 35.

The blonde stepped onto the 999 step and laughed. God said "I didn't even tell you the joke yet !"

The blonde said "I know, I just got the first one".

I would like to clear up one thing: is this a specific example, as in a would-be father not being able to decide whether the mother should have an abortion, or men in general on the issue of abortion?

Reasons for voting decision: Conduct for forfeit. This should really be more than 1 point if the instigator forfeits all rounds.
