MENS AND WOMENS BOTH ARE EQUAL IN MY OPINION.Women are now taking part in all the debates, elections and they are winning it also.Women are now allowed to go to offices and they also do the household work. Now housewives are not just housewives, they are the housemakers of our houses. To look after house and family, also needs skills that men don't have.Men cannot do the activities that women can do. WOMENS AND MENS BOTH ARE EQUAL.......!!!!!!!!

Con

You destroyed your own argument by saying men cannot do things that women do.

"Equal"- The same

Furthermore men and women biologically are different, they produce different hormones, they have different sex organs, and they react differently to situations. However burden of proof is on you to prove that they are equal, so let's hear it.

As a verb, equal is to be equal to, to have the same value as; to correspond to.
As a noun, an equal is a person or thing of equal status to others.
WHEREAS,
As a pronoun, same is the identical thing, ditto.
As an adverb, same is together.
EQUAL AND SAME BOTH ARE TWO DIFFERENT ADJECTIVES.

Con

Equal as an adjective "of the same measure, quantity, amount, or number as another " (1)

Burden of proof is on pro, and pro has made no arguments, so I guess I will make an argument.

How are men and women different? If we look at the average man is 5 foot 10 and the average weight is 195 pounds, while women are an average height of 5 foot 4 and weighs 166.2 pounds. (2,3,4) This clearly shows that men and women are different sizes, which means that they will be more skilled in different fields. Men are going to be better made to be soldiers or construction workers, so why should we insist that women work in these fields? Evolution made us this way for a reason, it best suited our environment, so why would we deny what nature has told us. Women and men should celebrate their differences and stop trying to force equality between two different beings.

Here we are not talking about the weights or heights of men and women, how they matter. Here we are talking about their status in the society.

Con

I mentioned that in my previous argument, men and women have different advantages and disadvantages, making certain people better at things than others. Men tend to be more competitive so they dominate fields like sports, while women are natural nurturers, so they are suited well for jobs like nursing, teaching etc. More CEO's are male because males have a higher risk taking than women, who may be too timid to do whatever it takes. (1) Therefore women have a different role in society than men, but it does not one is inferior or superior, just means that they have different roles.

RFD:

Pro started this debate by giving examples of activities that women now participate in that was once a man-only activity such as working in offices. Unfortunately, Pro also finished his first round stating that men cannot do certain activities women can do, which seems to go against the very thing he's arguing. Con picked up on this in his first round and defined the term "equal" to show how Pro contradicted his own position.

Con then further argued how men and women are biologically different, react to situations differently, etc.. thus showing how men and women are not equal. Pro responds by clarifying what he meant by equal but fails to counter any of Con's arguments or make his own based on his own definition. Con continues to list differences, including how they flourish in different professional fields which is also in-line with Pro's now-clarified definition.

Pro ends his rounds by stating that he meant equal in terms of societal status but again gives no arguments. Con uses his final round to show, with evidence, that more men are CEO's due to their differences in societal standings. Pro really needed to provide evidence showing that men and women are now equal and fell short of doing so throughout the debate. Due to Pro failing to present any impactful arguments, whereas Con presented several that went unchallenged, Con wins the debate.

In the future, I'd highly recommend Pro clearly define the key terms of the debate to avoid semantics issues which Con clearly used to his advantage, while also giving clear examples to better meet the burden of proof he set on himself with the claim he is attempting to affirm.

Easy enough debate, pro assumed his case to be self evident, thus did not support it.

Getting deeper, both made an accidental near-concession. "Men cannot do the activities that women can do," and "women have a different role in society than men, but it does not one is inferior or superior, just means that they have different roles."

Con made a somewhat trollish case, initially focusing on literal weight as what is being measured, but wisely pointed out that pro had not met his burden to prove the affirmative by any measure. The one measure pro wanted was status in society, which con refuted with a reminder that male CEOs (whose high status is self evident) outnumber female CEOs. Thus easy win for con.
