Miley Cyrus's "racy" picture is NOT news!! There are no exposed inappropriate body parts! The picture was in Vanity Fair, and if parents are so annoyed that their kids might see the picture, they should be even more concerned about letting their own young children read Vanity Fair, which has racier pictures than hers. Children will NOT see the picture unless their parents are stupid enough to let them read a magazine geared towards adults, which is an ethics issue in itself.

People who attempt to hype up the story for what it isn't need to stop. It's being made into a bigger issue than it is. Yes, she's 15, not 5. And being a teenager, she will have the freedom to take whatever pictures she wants. This is not the Antebellum days, when it was taboo for a lady's socks to be showing. This is modern day America, in the days where even younger girls can be seen wearing skimpy clothing, skimpier than Miley's one "racy" picture. Disney should not drop her because she was prompted to add a picture to a magazine geared towards OLDER people.

I believe that the parents who are so loud about Miley's picture need to do a better job regulating what their children read, then. If they're so concerned, they should not let their children into fashion magazines, or anything beyond G-rating. Miley herself should not be subjected into being a G-rated person outside of her shows. She is not giving a "bad example" to children because it's not displayed in a children's magazine..

..So loud, annoying parents who whine over nothing, please get over yourselves.

Defenition of racy- Slightly inappropriate.

Before I start I would like to say that the con really needs to chill out on this topic

Racy mean slightly inappropriate. If you want to say tha the pictures that Miley cirus who is only fifteen and a role model to millions of girls and boys as young as 4 then you have something wrong with you. In the picture in Vanity fair magazine. Which is magazine a 15 year old has no buisness in, Miley has nothing but a small cloth on covering her naked body. Miley Cirus leads the way for millions of young girls and I dont think we want our children running around getting pregnat because they were wearing what they saw " Hanna Montanna" wear now do we. This girl has a responsibilty and she know what she can and cannot do. She clearly overstepped her boundries this time. Also, Miley Cirus almost got her show on disney channel cancelled because she was caught drinking with some of her friends. This girl is FIFTEEN she is clearly not ready for a celebrity life if she's already acting like Paris Hilton at 15 years old.

To your other argument about the pictures being in a bad magazine. I saw these pictures on the new for the first time a few days ago. I was just watching the new with my 5 year old sister when the picture came on the screen and she said " wow miley is naked" is that the kind of influence our girls should have. You dont have to look in vanity fair to see the pictures just look up the news on yahoo and you can see them. If you honestly think that a 15 year old rolemodel whould be drinking and posing naked than go start your own little anarchist country.

Thank You

Obviously, I do not condone 15-year-old girls drinking and running around with skimpy cloths on. However, I do say that a typical dress at the Oscars or some other random awards show has more revealing outfits than what Ms. Cyrus has worn in her picture. The only reason the picture is in the news in the FIRST PLACE is because of the few who pay that much attention to whine about it. If it weren't for those nitpickers who mistakenly believe they are "saving their children" from the evils of a picture, the picture would not be so publicly available.

When do 4-year-olds surf the internet? Doesn't it take an older person to comprehend the basics of the computer and internet usage? They have the ability to close out the window, or, better yet, teach their growing children about such things like celebrities being REAL.

And for your information...she was not naked. She had some covering, however small it may have been. Hence, she is "partially clothed", yet there are outfits with more exposure.

Are you saying that no 15-year-old makes mistakes? Of course she shouldn't be drinking. But the truth of the matter is that she IS a 15-year-old. She is not perfect and yes, she will make mistakes. Our society just expects everyone in the spotlight to be entirely squeaky-clean and perfect, but that just doesn't happen.

Are you saying that this one insignificant picture is the reason millions of girls will run around, have sex, and get pregnant? I think you need to calm down, before you begin to tell me about calming down..If that will cause every young girl in America to get pregnant, then we should really stay away from every model..In that case, our population would overgrow our country.

Miley Cyrus is not the singular leader for every young girl in America, either. Better yet, this can be used as a lesson for those young girls: It's proof that even celebrities are real people who do make mistakes. Would you really want to show your 5-year-old sister that every famous person never makes mistakes, and is an unobtainable figure, especially considering that you seem to believe that every girl follows one celebrity's every move?

Lastly, I assume your sister follows you, and not some unobtainable figure that seems too good to be true, yes? I assume that you are a better role model; I doubt she'd pass up family members for something on the television.

Don't like what's on the news? Turn the TV off and do something else with your sister.

While I agree that Vanity Fair is not appropriate for younger readers, what do you think the purpose of a Miley Cyrus interview/photo shoot was? It sure wasn't to sell more magazines to 30-somethings. The editors knew exactly what they were doing and exactly what the target market would be (teenagers and pedophiles). The pictures were inappropriate for a 15 year old role model to children. The one with her laying in a seductive pose across her fathers lap was more disturbing than the naked back photo. The picture doesn't have to include nudity to be "racy".
