One quarter of Australia's kids are obese, that means on average 5 people in every class in our school are overweight. Being overweight has many downsides, you can develop type 2 diabetes, high cholesterol, high blood pressure and cardiovascular diseases. These diseases affect your life quality.and can also eventually lead to death. No one wants to die, but if we continue to not emphasise how important a healthy life is lots of people will die.

It is not the schools job to provide extra time and extra money to what is already being provided in the Physical Education department.
I don't believe the school made the child overweight?
It falls upon the responsibility of the parents to provide a healthy lifestyle for their children. A home environment at a young age is an important factor in a child's development and where I presume much of the lazy lifestyle and over eating occurs.

My Opponent says that parents should be the ones responsible for all of the healthy lifestyle. Although they are responsible for part of it. Schools should play a bigger role in the education because parents may not have complete knowledge about a healthy lifestyle.

Reasons for voting decision: Conduct was pretty equal because both sides forfeited at least one round. S/G wasn't brilliant for either side. Arguments to Con, as their point about the responsibility being on the parents was the most potent and poorly refuted. Con also had more arguments and they were better dealt with. Neither side used sources. Try a longer debate next time, guys.
