Tell what you know to be bad about mormons

Thanks for the challenge and interest. According to your first round debate, you want me to tell you what I know to be bad about Mormons. I hope I can answer your question in a clear and inoffensive manner.

For simplicity's sake, let's say: if a Mormon has committed a serious crime like murder or theft, we're going to label he or she as a bad Mormon. A good Mormon is someone who cares about others and does't commit any serious crimes.

With that said, some Mormons are bad and some good. There are Mormons that rob and even kill others. Here is a website with a list of Mormons that have done bad things in the world. http://www.famousmormons.net....

Many Mormons participate in charities and humanitarian efforts and are good people. Thomas S. Monson is a good Mormon. There are also many others. I used to be a Mormon. On my mission, we once painted and cleaned a school for a small town in Honduras. We did other good things as well. And I really enjoyed helping others. Here is website to a list of good Mormons. http://www.famousmormons.net...

A little side note, you don't have to be a Mormon to be a good person. I am no longer a Mormon, but I still consider myself a good person. I help others when I can. I don't use drugs. I don't break any laws. And I try to keep my thoughts positive and productive. I'm not perfect, but I do what I can.

At no fault of their own, many Mormons teach things that are not true. However, they aren't bad Mormons or people because they are teaching falsehoods. A falsehood is a false idea or belief. Many Mormons don't know that these beliefs/ideas are false. For example, as a boy growing up in the Mormon church, I was taught that native Americans/Indians were descendants or family to the ancient Nephites and the Lamanites. However, this is not true. Archaeologists were not able to find anything that would prove these groups of people ever existed. An archaeologist studies the ancient and recent human past through books, paintings, and other materials. https://en.wikipedia.org...
http://mit.irr.org...

There are other falsehoods that many Mormons will teach. Here is website that will show you other false teachings. http://mormonthink.com...

Conclusion:

Some Mormons are good and some bad. Many Mormons are teaching falsehoods, but they don't know that these beliefs/ideas are false, so they are not bad people. They are simply misinformed or misguided.
