Ok. Thanks to untitled_entity for starting this debate.

Song number one: A Quick One, While He's Away (live) - the Who.

Quite frankly, I think this is the best performance I've ever seen. The energy and presence the Who possess on stage is simply stunning.

This was, in essence, the first song to be composed of multiple songs, and carry a linear storyline -- it spawned concept of the "rock opera."

My second song is one of the more memorable moments in rock and roll history -- the Bob Dylan "Judas" performance.

It's taken from the ending sequence of the movie Martin Scorcese directed about Dylan -- "No Direction Home." A fan screams "Judas," at Dylan, to which he replies "I don't believe you; you're a liar." The best moment, I think, follows this just after -- he turns to his band, and yells "play it f-cking loud!" The performance that ensued was essentially a big "screw you" to the idiots who chastised him, and everyone knew it.

Song number three is Bohemian Rhapsody by Queen...except it has a Lego music video.

Fourth is the epic Led Zeppelin song How Many More Times.

Fifth is some greatness from a guitar virtuoso -- Tender Surrender by Steve Vai.

...and that's it for now.

I'm gonna start off with a little Frank Zappa -- the song is "I'm the Slime."

A great song by a fantastic musician.

Song number two is Death or Glory by the Clash.

This is probably my favorite song of theirs -- it's so highly charged, and really, the lyrics epitomize the essence of the Clash.

Third is Ice 9, by Joe Satriani.

A good song by one of the better guitarists I know of.

Fourth is one of the most epic songs I know -- Comfortably Numb by Pink Floyd.

The video was taken from the movie "the Wall," which is an awesome trip, even when you're not high.

And I picked to put this song last on purpose: the End by the Doors.

It's a live version. I chose this specific version because...well, it's reminds me of how awesome the Doors truly are. They were the ultimate unified band; it was like they were one, individual entity.

And now back to untitled_entity.

To start, I'm going to go with a little Free Bird by Lynyrd Skynyrd.

The guitar work in this song is easily some of the best I've ever heard. Epic from start to finish.

For my second video, I'm using Riot, Riot Upstart by Agnostic Front.

Third, I'm going with All Along the Watchtower by Jimi Hendrix.

Not only does it feature one of the most recognizable guitar solos in the history of rock music -- but this song is actually a cover of a Bob Dylan song. Dylan later admitted that Hendrix made it his own song -- he even started playing it the same way Hendrix did in live performances.

My fourth video is Frizzle Fry by Primus.

Primus have to be one of the most odd bands I've ever heard -- you don't come across a band with a lead bassist too often. Not only that, but their guitarist has some sweeping methods that are rather creative. A great song by a very interesting, innovative band.

My final video for the round is Rhymin' and Stealin' by the Beastie Boys.

Songs like this one make the Beastie Boys interesting -- it has their patented lyrical style, samples the Led Zeppelin song "When the Levee Breaks," but is sang more like a hip hop song than anything else. Such a combination is what makes the Beastie Boys kinda hard to categorize.

Anyway, that's all for now.

Heh, I decided to save some of the best for last -- I'm going to use two of the three best live performances I've watched.

I'd like to start off with a little more Zeppelin -- a live version of the song Dazed and Confused.

I always enjoyed the recorded version -- but this live version is just amazing; it epitomizes the greatness that is Led Zeppelin.

...also, watching this after smoking is intense. The parts where they show the close-up of Page's bow and when Bonham goes nuts on the drums were crazy to watch.

My second song/video is Oh! Sweet Nuthin' by the Velvet Underground.

I'm a big fan of the guitar work in this song; it's probably my favorite song to play.

Next we have the song Holiday in Cambodia by the Dead Kennedys.

This song has a lot of "kick" in it, just as much of the Dead Kennedys' music does.

Fourth is one of my favorite songs off one of my favorite albums: Avenues and Alleyways by Rancid.

My last song is the ultimate closing song -- Won't Get Fooled Again by the Who.

It's a live version from the film the Kids Are Alright. It's my second favorite live performance -- but it's an awesome show-stopper.
