Nintendo should create a new kind of DS: The Nintendo HDS. It could be thinner and, of course, in HD. For the sake of spacing, it could also be slightly larger. The graphics would improve and the games would not only include fun kid/family games, but games for more mature audiences as well.

Another feature that I feel would GREATLY improve the DS, is a second circle pad. It would be placed below the buttons. ( or maby above it.)

They should also add left and right triggers.

Do you're worst.

Firstly, before even changing the design of the Nintendo DS. We must start to understand what the Nintendo DS stands for the consumers. Nintendo DS spawned from the Gameboy which is ideal a portable and AFFORDABLE gaming console which is currently priced as low as around the $190 (AU) mark.

As the opposing debater put forward for a new design of the Nintendo DS " the Nintendo HDS having the design being thinner is an absurd idea. The existing Nintendo DS has been designed thin enough already and designing a console any slimmer will make the ergonomics of the console uncomfortable for the user. The Nintendo DS already suits all ages and has been marketed like that for years.

In addition the inclusion of the HD screen is true that it will make the graphics better but it cannot be proved to make a game more fun. A game whether if it is fun or not is dependent on the consumer"s opinion and cannot be judge by the design of the console.
The third issue of having the spacing of the keys being spaced further apart is rather insufficient. The console and the owners of the Nintendo are situated in Japan and have been designed using the ergonomics of the Asian men.

The fourth issue to include in left and right triggers and a new circle pad, contradicts with the debater"s first design feature by having a thinner design. The inclusion of additional triggers and the circle pad will increase the number of wires and boards inside the Nintendo DS and will make the console bulkier. Therefore the decision do both as an upgrade as a design feature of the Nintendo DS invalid but let me put it this way. Why not exclude the buttons entirely include a larger screen and use the screen as buttons.

con, you are false when it comes to your argument about "bulkiness". If you look close enough back into the DS franchise, you will realise that the original DS is thicker than the 3DS, which has a joystick. So, just because there are more wires, does not mean that it will be thicker.
