I believe that Barack Obama will be re-elected president because overall he is a better campaigner and a better overall candidate than any individual out of the current GOP candidates.

Every current candidate in the GOP has some fatal flaw or fatal quality that I believe would cost them the presidential election if they were to go one-on-one against Barack Obama in the 2012 campaign for the presidency

The Con must simply offer evidence against this, I encourage a creative counter-argument :)

Con may also use the first round to state his arguments, or if they choose to they can simply accept the debate and wait until the second round to state their arguments. There are 5 rounds and a 8000 character limit so there will be plenty of debating.

This argument is based on the one condition that no new Republican candidates enter the field for president....... I dont want to end up in a debate where the Con is going to argue that Palin or Donald Trump will join the race and they would beat Obama, for fairness the Con may only argue for the CURRENT GOP candidates, they include,

Mitt Romney
Rick Perry
Michele Bachmann
Herman Cain

If you really want to you may also argue for
Newt Gingrich
Ron Paul
Rick Santorum
John Huntsman

I accept! I will use Ron Paul to prove you wrong. Ron Paul is the best of the GOP guys because he doesn't lie and he isn't a liar. Obama is also a liar as well. He isn't a big one but he has done some. But anyone is better than Obama.

The Con is arguing only for Ron Paul, very well.

1) Ron Paul has suggested cutting all foreign aid to overseas countries such as Israel and Pakistan, that could undo all the work that Obama has done in bringing some peace to the region, strengthening ties with Saudi Arabia, etc. If Ron Paul were to become president such actions would seriously jeopardize the safety of the US which could hurt his poll numbers

2) Ron Paul has also gone on the record saying how he wants to end social security, medicare, medicaid, and end student loans from the government. That would hurt his poll numbers since his proposed cuts would alienate young and elderly voters alike

3) Ron Paul has also gone on record of severely cutting, even ELIMINATING, the departments of Energy, Housing, Commerce, Interior, and education, and that would also alienate many people from voting for him

4) The media itself has devoted much more headlines to Rick Perry, Herman Cain, Mitt Romney, and even Michele Bachmann over Ron Paul, so if he were to suddenly become the front runner people may not know as much about him as you or me have, and that may keep voters from coming out to support him

5) Ron Paul has even gone so far to suggest that as president he would never consider intervention into ending the ongoing genocide in Sudan, favoring complete isolationism of the US from all foreign situations. Such a stance could cause the security of the US to be compromised and could allow for outrageous human rights crimes to occur

6) Ron Paul also wishes to withdraw the US from the world trade organization. Such a move would be disastrous for the United States economically in a time when the economy is barely getting back on its feet and get going again. Voters would be against this idea and that could further hurt his poll numbers

7) Ron Paul has expressed a great deal of emphasis on overturning the law where children born in the United States are NOT citizens if they are the children of illegal immigrants. Such a law could easily cost him the Latino vote which makes up a very large chunk of American voters. Such an idea goes directly against the 14th amendment so those who love the Constitution would also be alienated from Ron Paul.

8) Following 9/11 Ron Paul opposed the increase of funding for airport security and instead claimed that pilots should carry firearms to solve the problem and has also proposed the privatization of airport security. Such irrational thinking could very easily cost him support and votes to, especially if the media were to focus on such previous opinions.

9) Ron Paul has openly opposed the operation that took place to take out Osama Bin Laden. Such a move would alienate the most patriotic Americans and such an act could leave the US even more open to attack which would hurt his poll numbers.

10) Ron Paul has also expressed a desire to severely limit the operations of the CIA, the most vital intelligence gathering agency to the US. Such an act could greatly leave America open to attack which may cost him votes.

11) In 2004 Ron Paul also campaigned and argued how he would eliminate the income tax because he felt it was unconstitutional, such an act would horribly damage the economy and that would alienate almost every voter who knew about his positions.

12) Ron Paul supports dont ask dont tell and is against allowing openly gay troops to serve in the military. He also wants to legalize all drugs simply because he feels it is an ineffective use of government funds

Ron Paul has many fatal flaws about many key and important issues that could cost him greatly if he were to go face to face against Barack Obama in the 2012 presidential campaign.
