Obama is not P.O.T.U.S.

The Constitution, a.k.a. the Supreme Law of the Land, requires that the P.O.T.U.S. be a natural-born citizen. Never mind the fact that there is legitimate and widespread concern Obama is not natural-born-- Obama has failed to prove that he is qualified to be P.O.T.U.S. and since the burden of proof is on him to prove his eligibility, he cannot be P.O.T.U.S.

Con

The Second Article of the Constitution of the United States of America states the following as requirements for a person to serve a president of the United States*:

1. 35 years of age or older
2. Natural Born Citizen
3. Resident of United States for the preceding 14 years before election.

If my opponent wants to argue that Barrack Obama is NOT president, he must prove that Obama is not a naturally born citizen of the United States, as he is both the 'Pro' and the 'Instigator' of this debate.

Barrack Obama has presented to the public a certificate of live birth that would highly suggest that he was in fact born in Hawaii. My opponent can choose to reject that as evidence, but it stands that a certificate of live birth carries the weight of a birth certificate in most situations.

Best of luck to my opponent.

This is a concession. I apologize if I'm unaware of the proper way to concede per this site's rules; I've searched and I can't find it.

@Garret
In all sincerity, DDO moderators have declared, very clearly, the purposes of the comments section. Holding another debate within their confines was not one of them; firstly, my original statement was meant as an aid, a suggestion to incorporate scholarly articles as sources.

Secondly, if you would like to have this debate with me I would gladly participate. I would, however, caution that your sources leave your position quite vulnerable.

"Yikes, FOX News was also declared the least trusted news source [...]"

Yikes, I declare that whoever declared that is definitely wrong, and laughably so. FOX News is definitely America's most trusted news source. (1)(2)(3)(4)(5)

Yikes, FOX News was also declared the least trusted news source and their viewers were found to be less informed than individuals who did not watch any news at all. DDO generally frowns on the use of FOX as a source, due to their lack of journalistic credibility. Scholarly articles are always preferred.

I was definitely talking about the News section.

Only if you are referring to the "News Section." Opinion section of Fox News is far from being "reliable" and "trustworthy." Nevertheless, Fox News does represent an alternative to other liberal cable news as such MSNBC or POLITICO.

The Constitution requires a lot of things but few of them matter? What is one thing that doesn't matter in the Constitution?

Someone tossed in a random insult at Fox News. Dude, I haven't kept up with Fox for a few years. Besides, Fox is the #1 trusted TV news source in America.

Also, English Common Law comprises more of our legal framework than the constitution does.
