No the government is shut down and we don't have enough money for another election plus the majority of people chose Abeam as our president I don't like Abeam but still have to go con on this.

Before I make my case, I want to teach you how to make a persuasive debate. I never even brought up the shutdown or elections, and also you should use good spelling/grammar as this will determine your voting scores (saying Obama instead of Abeam, which no one has a clue to what that is). Also before I begin I want to thank my opponent for accepting.

During this opening statement I will discuss all of the President's flaws including breaking kept promises, refusing to balance a budget, lying to the American people, and enforcing unpopular decisions.

The first most evident flaw of his Presidency is the fact that he will make hopeful promises, but never keeps them. Let's go back to the 2012 election, he promised to ease the Patriot Act passed by Bush but actually strengthened it (1). He promoted equal rights for women and gays, promised to have Afghan troops return, and made sure that the middle class would grow through tax cuts for the middle class. So far, none of these promises were carried out.

The President has also either refused to carry out congressional meetings on a balanced budget or vetoed legislation from Congress to carry out a balanced budget. Since you brought up the government shutdown, I have to add that the last offer made by the House gave the Senate nearly 95% of everything they wanted (including the majority of Obamacare) (2). I can agree that it wasn't the right time for that debate, but the Senate and President should have at least negotiated if they can negotiate with Iran, Russia, and Syria (3).

Another thing he's known to do is lie to the American people and constantly spit out dishonest rhetoric. Obamacare is one example, he says that premiums are expected to drop by $2,000 but already rose to $7,400 per year for a family of four. Also, he promised to drop taxes for middle class Americans and seniors making less than $50,000 a year. These are just two of the 21 lies found in my fourth source (4).

Using Obamacare as an example once again, it's known that nearly 2/3 of Americans say it raises their premiums (5). Also, its estimated that nearly 72% OPPOSE gun control, very different from the President's numbers that say 90% SUPPORT it (6). These are just a few reasons why I think Obama is a bad President, and frankly needs to leave office immediately.
