I say that Obama and his cabinet are ruining our great country with over spending and overstepping their political boundaries. In the first two months of his administration he has put into motion bills that will spend trillions of American tax dollars. Yes trillions. To me that is unacceptable. He took responsibility for the country and he is not treating it well. In a down economy spending is the LAST thing you want to do. We need a few things from Obama.

1. Tax cuts for the middle class (actually do it don't just talk about it)
2. Decrease in government spending (trillions of $$?! Seriously?)
3. Let the economy play out on its own, no more bailouts or government help or intervention. If its going to fail let it fail and fix itself.

I think all of this spending is killing the economy. Why would we spend more money when no one has any? It makes no sense to me. I agree something has to be done but don't spend, please no more spending.

We need Obama out. New ideas in. (ones that make sense)

Hey readers, look up at the top. The resolution states that "Obama's Spending is Ruining America." My opponent has taken the Con side of this argument, which it shows under their picture. However, the opponent presented an argument that supports my point. The opponent argued that Obama's spending certainly is ruining America, which he is supposed to be against, according to his taken standpoint.

The opponent states "I say that Obama and his cabinet are ruining our great country with over spending and overstepping their political boundaries." The opponent obviously is supporting my side of the argument. The opponent is supposedly Con, but states information that supports my side of Pro. Because the opponent completely contradicts their standing on the issue, THE VOTE MUST GO TO PRO, FOR CON IS SUPPORTING MY POSITION AS PRO.

I made a mistake, give me a break, it was my first debate on this website. I have fixed my mistakes in other debate areas. Vote however you choose but I will not be finishing this debate.

I completely understand, I'm just debating what was given on the screen. Con has conceded the round and I assume the rest of the debate. When my opponent did propose his argument, all of his evidence and proof supported my side of the debate. Even though my opponent was con, he supported my side, which was pro. The opponent has also forfeited by saying he will not finish this debate. I believe the vote must go to pro. Thank you.

Don't vote on this. Why tarnish my record for a simple mistake in my first debate? That wold be really stupid. And if you do vote against me (I wouldn't blame you it was dumb on my part) it would be a shallow victory to my opponent who beat out a 15 year old on his first time to a debate site. (He must be so proud of himself)

dude this is only me second debate on this site. I just turned sixteen a couple months ago. I understand what you are saying, but this is technically an official debate. you chose a side and posted an argument. THE VOTE MUST GO TO PRO. just be more careful next time. your argument supported my side, so the vote must go to pro. thank you

I would like to let everyone know that I acknowledge my stupid mistake. I also would like to thank the people who voted for me due to the fact that studentathletechristian8 tried to take advantage of me. I do believe it should have been a tie but i will take a win. I have started a new debate titled 'Obama's Bailouts are Failing' and follows the same premisis that this debate was following. If you enjoyed this topic check out my new debate that is mistake free. Thanks

he did not do a better job of debating than I did. his debate supported my whole side of the argument. you guys just feel bad that he was on the wrong side. he debate my side, so I don't see why he's winning

You saw that he was on the wrong side and took a CHEAP shot. Now, THAT is what I would call ridiculous. And we DID vote on who presented the best debate. He did. Even if it was on the wrong side, he did do a better job debating than you, since he actually had arguments and all you posted was "I should win because my opponent made a mistake on his first debate".

THIS IS ABSOLUTELY RIDICULOUS! HE POSTED ARGUMENTS THAT SUPPORTED MY SIDE! YOU GUYS DID NOT VOTE ON WHO PRESENTED the BEST DEBATE! HIS DEBATE WAS A SUPPORT OF MINE!

I don't think youngpolitic should be penalized, even though studentathletechristian8 is trying to get some cheap points. That's just rude.

Dude. Don't blame your 15 years old age on your mishaps. Have some damn faith in yourself. You've fed into the lies that 15 year olds are incapable. Jack Daniels invented his company at 13. Edison invented the lightbulb at 12. George Washington taught himself trigonometry at 12. The Qin emperor of China took office at 13 and won the wars in the Time of Troubles. The best Mughal emperor was a 13 year old. Give teenagers some credit. Harvard and the psychologist arena has realized that people reach the final stage of mental development at 12. Don't be so hard on 15 year olds, dude.

Thank you wpfairbanks, I understand my mistake and I do no think it would be fair for me to take a hit for this. I will gladly reconsider my argument now that I am more farmiliar with the site and open up a new debate some time this weekend.
