Con

I thank my opponent for accepting this debate.

Let's begin:

1. Yugioh

I expect that my opponent at least know about Yugioh. (It seems that the challenge period is empty, so I am just debating random topics.)

Round 1: Just accept (No sources)
Round 2: Arguments
Round 3: Arguments and Wrap up

I would be excited if someone took this.

Well how funny is this, after forgetting about Yugioh and now here finding a topic, very interesting
Well all i can say is that the silfer card has an X000/X000 making it capable of having 9000/9000 and therfore can defeat Obelisk who only has 4000/4000

Okay. Well, funny. My opponent agrees with me. Wow. We don't need to debate, I guess. I ultimately won, because my opponent agrees with me. Thanks!

However, let's begin:

1. Ultimate Win

I ultimately won, because my opponent definitely agrees with me that Slifer would defeat Obelisk.

2. Power

Slifer has X000/X000. If you have four cards in hand, Slifer would become 4000/4000. Slifer could have, at the highest, 9000/9000. Obelisk, has only 4000/4000. This is why Slifer would definitely beat Obelisk. When a monster is summoned, the monster's attack is reduced by 2000. So, if Slifer was on the field, and Obelisk is summoned, Obelisk's power would be 2000/2000. This means that Slifer would definitely win.

I give thanks to my opponent and the readers. Good luck!

Well, I guess I won. However, you could have won with the argument about Obelisk sacrificing 2 cards to eliminate all the cards on the field, but I had a trick up my sleeves. If you placed this, I would argue that when Slifer is summoned, a card on the other field must be destroyed. Therefore, this could have been a hard debate. However, you forfeited, so I guess I won this debate. I would like to debate you in the future about some other topic. Vote Con, please.

All you need is one situation where obelisk would lose and con wins. It's funny how pro thought he was con, I might have made that assumption also though... lol

ethopia619, how about you challenge me to this debate, given that this one didn't end as expected?

Obelisk can gain infinite attack power. No more Slifer.

Also, since when is the limit on Slifer only 9000? In the anime, its attack got to somewhere upwards of 50000.

Pro could argue that Obelisk could defeat Slifer in a battle...
Assuming that he used some kind of a card to eliminate all the cards in his opponent's hand.
Or you could argue that the actual gaming card does not specify that Slifer HAS any attack points at all, judging that Slifer's attack is X000 and does not even had an effect, whereas Obelisk would definitely have 4000. Or you could equip Obelisk with a bunch of atk boosters...

If you sacrifice a monster than obelisks attack becomes infinity, therefore winning. That is if your allowed to sacrifice, which seems entirely possible since con is arguing that slifer could have 9000 attack, which would be best possible scenerio since you can only have 6 cards in your hand by the end phase.
