On balance? My opponent needs to detail what that means.

As we see video games today, they do much more harm. If you play video games, they become addictive, much like the nicotine in drugs. For example, Computer Games... people spend hours playing games like WorldOfWarcraft, and possibly RuneScape. They'll hardly go outside, and never experience life to it's fullest, always locked in a world of digital bliss. Another example... my opponent. Quote-Unquote: "I play video games all day, I don't do any sports because I'm a computer programmer." It wrecks your life, and removes all the opportunities to get outside and play.

Video games may also influence your life. If you spend most of it playing violent games, you'll have a greater chance to be a violent man/woman growing up. Again, this leads to ruining your life. There aren't video games in a jail cell; there aren't video games in your handcuffs.

Lastly, playing video games is pretty much an excuse to be lazy. Ie. My opponen

I used to do these types of debates. Nobody ever actually went the whole way without forfeiting, though.
