2. No run-on sentences
3. No profanity; keep it clean
4. No personal attacks
5. Sarcasm is allowed, as long as use of it doesn't violate rules #3 and #4
6. Failure to adhere to rules results in forfeiture.

*If your opponent violates one of the rules, you are allowed to use more than one sentence to address it.

Debate Topic
Here are three possible debate topics. Con will decide which to use. Pro (me) will be for the topic and Con will be against it. Please say which topic we will be using. :-)

1. Time is more valuable than money.

2. Education starts after school.

3. A little learning is a dangerous thing.

Any questions? Please ask in the comments!

MrCarroll

Con

Very well. Will you argue for the second topic, that education starts after school?
Debate Round No. 1
LegalizeLiberty

Pro

Education is pointless unless it can be practically implemented in life after finishing school.

MrCarroll

Con

Even if you believe that students fail to implement learning until after school, haven't you admitted that the original learning is gained during school?
Debate Round No. 2
LegalizeLiberty

Pro

No; how do you know you know something if you haven't implemented it in the real world?
MrCarroll

Con

In which world do these students live if not this world?
Debate Round No. 3
LegalizeLiberty

Pro

The point is that knowledge that is not practically applied is not really education.
MrCarroll

Con

Firstly, you haven't shown that knowledge isn't being applied by students, especially in areas of logic, mathematics, history, science, and art, where students are able to verify knowledge in the very world we live in, and even if this wasn't the case, you haven't explained how people people have performed CPR without "real world experience."

Pro

Pro's whole premise is this: unless you can practically use the information you have been "taught" (which primarily happens after school), you can not claim to be truly educated.
MrCarroll

Con

As you've stressed.
