Organ donation has the potential to save millions of lives why should your 'beliefs' inhibit saving someone? In many ways it is selfish and inefficient, seeing as the soul is supposed to go to heaven the body is merely a bag of meat, that should be used for something useful other than rotting in the ground. I may come across as undemocratic here but its pragmatic and it saves lives and encourages efficiency and selflessness.
Organ donation should not be made compulsory. We have the right to decide what happens to us when we die. Any country that practices human rights wouldn't ever put this is place and for good reason. A society where we just take peoples organs after they die without making sure they are okay with it before hand is unthinkable. Quite literally, they can choose what happens to their bodies. If organ donation became complusory it would have a few negative effects on the world too. The use of resources to extract them, and further worsening the issue of over-population that we face are just two examples. And sure it may save lives. But it's shortening the overall life time of humans by further worsening the condition of this planet and decreasing how long we are here . Overpopulation causes so many issues off the bat. It should stay as a choice, people should have that right always.
