Out of sight =/= out of mind
Debate Rounds (3)
First round is acceptance. Plz no trolling.
Out of sight- describing object or person A that is not in person B's line of eyesight
Out of mind- Person B is not thinking about A
You illegally cut somebody's head off. You bury the body. The cops find it. You're in court over the murder.
Can you see the body? No. Are you thinking about it? Yes.
Can you see the person? Yes. Are you thinking about the person? Yes.
But now if the person who was being tried for murder didn't show up due to transportation complications, then I can guarantee that everyone who has never seen the person before will be making up an image in their own minds about what the culprit looks like, making a different gender, race, height, weight and so on for who they think the culprit is. And since the person who actually did it is not in the courtroom and not truly in the minds of the people watching the trial, then the criminal is out of sight, and they are also out of mind.
Just because youre there doesnt mean the body is there.
