Outsourcing jobs outside of the country for cheap labor is wrong and un-American. Conservatives and chicken hawks who claim to be patriots, but vote to outsource jobs to cheaper markets and in turn take those jobs away from hard working American families, are hypocritical, bad for our country, and detrimental to our society.

You haven't really given any reasons why it is wrong, so there isn't much to go on here.

It's not bad for the country for a few reasons:

1) By using protectionism, you are destroying more jobs. Suppose you want to protect the jobs of coal miners by restricting competition from over seas. You set up a tariff to coal imports to off set the incentive for companies to send work overseas. But by doing so you raise energy prices. These costs ripple through other sectors of the economy and cause people to lose their jobs and increase their cost of living.

2) Trading with countries is good because it gives both countries an incentive to avoid going to war with one another. So a more globalized economy will be one where countries are less likely to resort to violence.

3) It's better to shed the weaker sectors of our economy and focus on the stronger ones. This is called comparative advantage. Even if America could produce everything better then every other country, it would still be in our interest to let other countries produce some things and trade with them. Suppose you and I both produced two sets of goods: Pizza and Staplers. I could make 6 Pizzas and 12 Staplers, while you could make 2 Pizzas and 10 Staplers. To make one pizza, I have to give up the chance to produce two staplers. For you to make 1 pizza, you have to sacrifice the ability to make 5 staplers. If you would focus on staplers and I on pizza, there would be more goods to go around. America and the world is better off when countries specialize in production.

4) The workers are not entitled to the jobs. They did not create the jobs. Someone had to come up with a plan and resources to make the jobs exist. The workers just go through the motions laid out for them.

Right, because if you want to increase the wealth of people in poorer countries, you have to increase their demand, and to increase their demand you have to have more firms competing to hire them, and to have the most firms competing you have to have free trade.

to your first point you are absolutely missing the point of what it is to be american. 1st the price of the goods produced does not have to go up, instead the salaries and benefits of the ceo and other upper management would go down. I am not advocating socialism just a decrease in this upper elite's profits. in every other country in the world a ceo makes seven times that of the average worker. In america the average ceo makes anywhere from 248-436 times what the average worker does this is not necessary and is caused by outsourcing. Hence the discount is not passed on to the consumer but is added to corporate profits. second, not going to war is not an incentive to "screw" the american worker out of jobs that were once his. Third i am not saying america should produce everything, but right now, due to outsourcing, India is producing the pizza's, china the stapelers, and america nothing because india and china can pay their workers a dollar an hour.fourth the american worker was entitled to those jobs because they were once his and were wrongfully and unjustly taken away from him. It would be different if the whole world had a minimum wage and workers benefits, but it does not and this makes it an unfair playing field. Also you do not stop people in poor countries from being poor, by giving them our jobs. That is absolutely assinine. Thank you

There are several reasons people outsource to other countries:

1._ American workers just want to con their employers
out of their money in any way possible.

2._ The countries they outsource to often give
incentives, such as India and China with ten-year
tax holidays for manufacturers in their "Free
Enterprise Zones."

3._ American law is set up to favor white collar jobs,
especially lawyers, which goes back to reason 1
(Employees usually sue their employers for the
sole purpose of financial gain, not compensation).

As a matter of fact, people often get paid more in their home countries than without American outsourcing.
