Pro

PA is a better state than NY. Who cares if they are hosting a superbowl?
birdlandmemories

Con

New York has more shops, more people, more sights, beautiful living places, and better quality than Pennsylvania. Also, more events are held in New York.
Debate Round No. 1

Pro

More shops and more people mean more traffic and trash. What about New York is 'better quality'? I'm not sure that even makes sense. Pennsylvania has Yuengling Lager, The Declaration of Independence, University of Pennsylvania and the Cheesesteak.

Con

You say Pennsylvania has cheesesteak, but New York has the Nathans hot dog eating contest. You say Pennsylvania has the Declaration of Independence, but New York has Yankees Stadium, the Empire State Building, and the Statue of Liberty. But shops also beautify places, and help the state have a better economy. New York is also home to the New York Yankees, who have won 27 championships.

NY has a many different parts to it from the edge of Long Islad which has many vineyards to Niagra Falls upstate. There's also beautiful beaches, farmland, and NYC which brings in much tourism and brings recognition to the state.

First of all, NY didn't host the Super Bowl - it was played in East Rutherford, NJ. I have been to both Philadelphia, and New York City. Both have their nice parts and bad parts, but I believe New York's bad parts heavily outweigh the good parts. Yes, it has some good areas, but it's a dump for the most part. People say it is great to live in NYC, but I find it hard to believe - getting up early every day, just to make it to work that is 10 miles away at a normal time. Traffic in that city is unbelievable, the subways have such a horrific aroma. I feel PA is much better than NY.

Reasons for voting decision: Vote goes to Con because he refuted Pro's arguments with less subjective things. Though, the cheesesteak is great!

Reasons for voting decision: Pa boasts the first radio station, first oil well, and as Pro said, The Declaration of Independence. Plus, people from N.Y. can't drive worth a damn.

Reasons for voting decision: "Who cares if..." <- loss of conduct. Pro's argument is confusing in round 2. Wash to sources and grammar.
