Hello to the challenger. First off, I do not own a pc capable for even playing World Of Warcraft, so there is no bias. Also, I am talking about the modern setting; I have a different view of the past.
Today, consoles are becoming more and more like PC's. They have glitches, they are running similar OSs, and they have the same hardware. You can get the same game for computer and console. PC's are versatlie and can constantly be cutting edge, whereas consoles are fixed and slowly(except for the 8th generation) become unbearably outdated.

PCs are great if you have the money to spend. It's really like giving "1,000 for slightly better graphics and a higher framerate, and you may have to wait a while for the game to come out. You could see the PC faithful laughing at last gen's console users last year at their version of GTA V. Bragging about a game they couldn't even play at the time.

Is it really worth spending that amount of money for a PC when you have to make sure it has the right graphics card, a big enough RAM and that it can play the range of games that you want? More people will continue to get console as it's usually just too much hassle for a tiny bit better framerate and graphics. You know the game you put in will play without you having to check system requirements. And you don't have to spend hundreds upgrading it every year.

Consoles, especially the next generation ones, already give you very good results at a more reasonable price. It's better if you don't want to go through upgrading parts of your console to squeeze out those extra few pixels.

Quality wise, PC is better, but not exactly by much considering how many extra cash you have to fork over. The whole PC v Console war is not something I would get upset over; at the end of the day its a person's decision as to what they think is best. It's not like they're spending my money. But, considering different factors, it's not simply better unless you are a hard core gamer or you have the money to spend on it.
