Peanut Butter and Jelly is the superheros of all sandwichs.

i would first like to start off that i am just doing this debate for fun. I would like to see others views on this. So my opponent lets have fun with this.

I would like to start my opening argument with saying how PB&J can save the enviroment. By eating pb&j you are reducing the carbon dioxide emmission in the air. Also by eating pb&j it saves 3.5 pounds of greenhouse gas emissions.

SEe we are all trying to conquer global warming! who would have thought that a little pb and j could do the trick everyday.

ok so you are basically arguing that pb+j is a super hero sandwich because it saves the environment. Yet you offered no proof for any of your claims. so i researched it myself, and found that while what you said was true, it only applied when comparing pbj to another sandwich thats main component was animal based. so, if you want to argue that the superhero sandwich is one that saves the environment, you should be advocating a lettuce sandwich for example, or one that doesn't need its components to be processed. (using natural fruit instead of jelly).

another import aspect of the pbj sandwich is that it is not incredibly healthy. a study from calorie count showed that a typical pbj contains 31% of daily fat, and 21% of daily sodium. this is a high amount for a sandwich that is not normally sufficient for a meal. So is it superheroesque to make people fat and unhealthy?

Also PBJ is a passive actor. Meaning it "helps the environment" more than meat sandwiches because it doesnt require as much effort to make it. In short, its good because it doesnt do anything. For example, i an evil person did nothing, society would be better, but the evil person is not a superhero. So is something that does nothing a superhero?

A major part of superheros, are their problems or struggles. Spiderman had Mary Jane. Superman had kryptonite. they all had problems to overcome, and choices to make. What choices or variations are there with PBJ? besides which brand of pb, and flavor of jelly there aren't any. what is the fun in that? where is the adventure of the superhero? there inst one, PBJ doesn't provide any interest action, or choice. is that superheroesque?

when one thinks of an amazing sandwich, it generally isnt PBJ. there are so many other choices available. Look at what subway subs have done to jared! now thats a superhero sandwich.

in short PBJ's have no traits seen in super heroes, and only seem beneficial in my opponents arguments because that are compared to more unhealthy sandwiches, and do not do anything.
