3 hour time limit. 500 character count.

First round is acceptance.

I think it's a net positive to eat your own boogers despite the stigma attached to it. If anyone disagrees and wants a speedy debate then bring it on. I'll be eating my boogers until somebody decides to accept.

Eating boogers is just plain out gross. Have you ever sat down next to someone and have them eating the slimy, green, disgusting stuff that oozes out of their nose? And, a fact on this, you know those hairs on the inside of your nose? Yeah, those are for filtering the air you breathe through your nose. Think about it, if someone farts, that stuff is getting in your nose. And those hairs are filtering it, making boogers. If you're eating your boogers, you're really eating someones fart.

One recent study published in a Scientific journal has concluded that eating your boogers can actually help prevent cavities from forming, and in fact there are ongoing efforts to recreate booger properties and put it in toothpaste.

Other studies have suggested that eating boogers can prevent respiratory infection, HIV and stomach ulcers.

Eating them teaches humility.

Also, it is very helpful, as boogers have neutrilized germs, so eating them helps to get immunities.

Reasons for voting decision: PRO's argument about the health benefits was unchallenged, and CON's only point is a subjective, unsourced judgement that it is "gross." Arguments to PRO. Sources also to PRO because he provided one.

Reasons for voting decision: Pro offered science, an article (and summery thereof) to suggest significant benefits, which went unrefuted. Con offered the word "gross" and an appeal to farts, which also went unrefuted. To my subjective standards, the weight of pro's case is far greater. ... Conduct for three forfeits, pros one missed round is not enough to balance against that.

Reasons for voting decision: ...I agree with Con and that's not gonna change. That said Pro gets conduct for actually finishing the debate, and the point for sources for actually having sources. Neither had super compelling arguments and the spelling and grammar was about the same.
