If the eagles team stays mainly healthy through the 08-09 season they will be the team to beat. because there is a good chance Randy Moss will be joining there offence. Mcnabb has had a full season without injury and will be on the rebound. with the adition to Samuel along with a stuning d-line and Brian Dawkins in the backfield the defence will be without a doubt steller. the only loss the eagles have is Jevon Kearse who didnt have a great year anyway after his knee injury. They are a good team but went throught something every good team goes through a year or two of decline while they regroup. plus they have one of the best coaching staffs who will pull them through.

The Eagles are going to be "A team to beat" but I guarantee they will not be THE team to beat. I know New England lost that super bowl, and they're a huge letdown, but Randy Moss signed a 3 year deal, and Randy Moss + Tom Brady is a deadly combo, which can be/is unstoppable. Another point, the patriots went 16-0 in the regular season, so obviously they are the team to beat since they were NOT beat.

The patriots did get rid of Asante, Donte, and Gay, but they got Zach Thomas, and their linebacker core is stacked, and I'm guessing they'll get some replacement DB's.

Another team to beat will be the Giants. Hot of a big road game streak, and the super bowl, they will be the team to beat because they beat the "unbeatable." The running backs are great, Eli has lost his choke role, the defense is good, and the wide receivers are amazing.

As always, the colts could be the team to beat, because, well, Peyton Manning is Peyton Manning.

Ok my main arguement was based on the eagles getting Randy Moss. however he did resign with the Pats. the eagles have all the potential in the world they just need someone other then Westbrook to catch the ball.

New England is still the team to beat, because of Randy Moss, Wes Welker, and Brett Favre retiring............................!

Philly got McNabb, who can be a broken down piece of **** when he's injured, who will be healthy and in Pro-Bowl form in 08' and in February '09, you saw glimses of that in the last 3 games of the '07 season.***coming back to this later***

Westbrook who's the best back in the NFC, Samuel who is the best corner in the NFL, Dawkins who even in his age is a hustling (remember the tackle that keep us in that heartbreaker NY game), hard hitting safety, and the LIto, Samuel tandem will be the best CB tandem...mark my words...the best two tackles out there Jon Runyan, and William Thomas. and the best guard Shawn Andrews...and Trent Cole and Chris Clemons of the edge...a Super Bowl caliber team if you ask me...

*** about the 3 game win streak look at the Green Bay Packers...in the last 6 games the Pack won em all and made it to the NFC Championship game and lost to Supert Bowl champ Giants...the Eagles are in the same boat this year***

Oh PLEASE. The EAGLES are goign to be THE TEAM TO BEAT???

ROFLMAO. Uh huh. And Kennedy was killed by 28 men shooting from 15 different angles.

Try again. The Eagles are perpetual losers.

The playoff contenders in 2008-2009 will be: The Patriots; the Cowboys; the Seahawks; the Giants; the Colts.

Eagles? hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha

Filthadelphia, is the worst city in the continental United States, followed by most cities in New Jersey.

You are the most uneducated, unattractive, uncultured, least friendly, fattest, dumbest, worst people the United States has to offer.

Obviously this is reflected in the cities' football team. The eagles SUCK, have SUCKED, and always will SUCK.

The idea that the eagles would be any threat to any football team is a ridiculous joke!

Well, I know that the greatest quarterback in the history of the sport--Favre--is retiring, but I still think the Pack has a great chance next year. The Pats will be reeling, and I have a gut feeling that the Giants were a one-hit wonder, to use a baseball euphemism. They have, as the game commentators informed me during their historic defeat for the NFC championship, a young team, and a good team, even without Favre.

I believe the Giants have a shot. They've beaten the odds in a major way a few times, why not again? Plus it's obvious they have good young talent. The only unfinished business the Pats have is licking their sorry butt cheatin' wounds.

Yeah, but they got Tank Williams and Corey Webster which is just as good.
