In his 5 and a half years, the president Barack Obama has done far more to harm the economy then to help it. This is my first debate and wish for my opponent to provide the BOP.
Affect definition: To have an effect on; make a difference to.

I accept. Your wish is not my command. You will take the BOP.

Good luck!

I will provide reasons how Obama has harmed the economy and my opponent will attempt to refute them.
The definition of positive is: consisting in or characterized by the presence or possession of features or qualities rather than their absence.

President Obama has not affected the American economy in a positive way: Since President Obama has taken office we have at least two million more employable Americans, yet after trillions of dollars of stimulus and deficit spending, we actually have fewer non-government jobs than we did the day he took the oath of office.

He has:1.Increased the deficit more than $4 trillion, causing the first-ever downgrade in the U.S. credit rating and for the first time raising serious questions about U.S. financial stability.
2.Issued 106 new major rules that cost U.S. businesses $11 billion in implementation and more than $46 billion each year.
3.As well as launching a war against coal, that will do nothing to help the environment and will drive up energy costs.

I only have 1000 characters, so I must be quick.

1. My opponent attempts to condemn Obama for creating jobs, saying they are not good enough. Fallacious reasoning, as 3% more people with jobs at all needs to be given with at least some token. Raising the minimum wage will also raise government jobs according to the CRS and CBO.

2. My opponenet made an outright wrong statement regarding the deficit. It has actually shrunk 300 billion, and will likely reach 550 billion down by the end of 2015.

3. My opponent attempted to slant the congressional finances as Obama's fault. This is foolish. We spend closer to 30 billion on congress, on terms they actually get anything done. GOP house is the least effective in history.

4. Coal? People have forgotten what being a part of a nation is. The government is doing its duty of protecting the people from deadly fumes and old styled pollution.

5. Obama has raised stock market trade 140%. Yay!!!! <---- That trumps all arguments

Obama has done nothing but harm our economy and prosperity, since slithered out of the cesspool of Chicago Democrat politics. When the national debt is our greatest threat, he spent more faster and accumulated more debt than any human in history. He passed a economy busting health care bill, which increased costs, deductibles, and premiums greatly, contrary to his promised $2500 reduction in premiums. He further burdened the middle class and businesses, by increasing or adding 441 taxes and creating the greatest number of new regulations on businesses ever. Any progress of the economy is made in spite of his disastrous policies, and is a tribute to the creativity and persistence of the American people in overcoming them.

I agree with you that President Obama has affected us in a negative way in terms of our economy...so I'd better not debate you since there would be nothing to debate : )
