President Obama is a good president for the United States of America. He has shown a will for Bi-partisanship that no other president has examplified before. I am a strong conservative and i expected 4-8 years of pure liberal rule. I have been corrected and amazed at Obama's push for Bi-partisanship. Almost every president before him have claimed they were bi-partisan, but obama is the FIRST to put it into action. 1st example: obama appoints Robert Gates as his Secretary of Defense. Robert Gates is a long time conservative and served under the Bush administraton. This was done with strong opposition of obama's party members. Second: Obama has kept support for the war on terrorism despite much opposition from Democrats. He has kept this war going with the support of many conservatives, and a policy i agree with. he has gone against his long time party belief of no war and kept what many believe is a nescessary policy. Third: Obama could have forcefully passed the health care reform with the support of no conserveratives, yet he decieded not to and open up to the opposing party for their thoughts (therefore the public option emerges). I pains me to talk about a democrat in such a way, but i believe obama is taking this country down the correct path. He is a pioneer, although it might not be good for his political career, he does it anyways. The reason he does it is because it is the RIGHT thing to do. Our country was founded on the idea of bi-partisan, democratic government where the representatives actually do what they are told by the citizens. But now politicians are just doing what is good for their political career, not the country. I am a man that loves this great country, but i believe we are headed down the wrong path. ALL presidents that follow Obama should keep this traditions alive, because it will make for a far better country. While i might not believe in everything obama is doing, he is absololutely doing the right thing as far as setting an example for how the PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA the most POWERFUL human in the world, should handle himself and his country.

Contention 1: Opportunity Cost
====================

My opponent clearly believes McCain would be a better president.
As of 12/6/09, my opponent's preferred president is John McCain. [1]
I agree that McCain would make a better president than Obama.

==================
Contention 2: Dependability
==================

Good:
-Possessing the quality of being dependable; financially sound; "A good investment" [2]

Barack Obama has not been dependable. As Pro admits, he has shifted his policy on the War on Terror.

While he was campaigning for Pres, he was against the war, wanting to pull our troops out.
He has contradicted this multiple times...

======================
Contention 3: Performance in Bed
======================

Good:
-Modestly expceptional in bed; "Da*n! you were so good..." [3]

Obama is not good because he clearly can't perform in bed: http://comixed.com...

================
Contention 4: Marijuana
================

Good:
-Slang used when talking to your pot dealer. Instead of asking if he has marijuana, you ask if he's good. Keeps your dealer under the radar, and he would appreciate it. [4]

Obama has made it clear that he smoked pot as a child, but has since quit the habit: http://www.nytimes.com...
Thus, he is not good enough for the US to purchase even a dime bag from.

===============
Contention 5: extinction
===============

Obama is not a good president because his proposal of a healthcare has inevitably lead us to extinction.

Simply the act of the plan being proposed has caused extreme partisanship in the government, leading to extinction:

Obama's healthcare bill has pretty much doomed the human race. I'm not sure it gets much worse than that.

I'm tempted to take this, and turn it into a critique of democracy.

There is no way that you're a conservative Republican (who prefers McCain) and feels that Obama is good for the US. I'm a centrist Republican who detests most of Obama's policies. Something's not right here ;)

Could you separate your argument into clearer paragraphs by double-tapping the ENTER key between important parts of the speech?

I'm considering taking this, but it is hard to read.

I didn't like Obama or McCain, but if I had to chose one it would have been McCain.

Obama has made lots of promises that he has so far failed to do.
