Pro

This debate is over whether printed journalism (i.e magazines, newspapers) are worthwhile and relevant in this heavily technologically developed age. I am pro and my opponent is con.

Instead of defining "worthwhile" and "relevant" individually, I will make the claim that, if printed journalism were to cease to exist, it would have a large and mainly negative effect on the world as a whole. Con will be arguing that, if such a thing were to happen, there would be a small or largely positive effect on the world.

The first round is for acceptance.
Dishoungh

Con

I accept.

I will be arguing that if newspaper or any other form of printed journalism media were not to exist, the following effects from that will be insignificant and inconsequential. Also, I will debate that the non-existence of printed media will create somewhat of a positive effect.

Since the first round is just acceptance, I will allow my opponent to dispute first.

I am very sorry for wasting your time, but an unforseen circumstance has come up that demands my attention for the rest of the week. This is unfortunant because I very much wanted to debate this topic, and you seem to be a good debator. Maybe another time I'll challenge you again. In the meantime, enjoy the slight boost to your win/loss ration.

I concede.
Dishoungh

Con

Well, okay then. Pro has conceded; therefore, I'm held as victor of the debate. I will save my arguments until Pro comes back from whatever he must do and challenges me again.

I will be looking forward to Pro's challenge in the future. I await to present my arguments next time.

@ Dishoungh Of course, "nothing" is small enough. Pretty much you are just arguing against my point.

I want to accept. Can I say that newspaper cease of existence will have no impact whatsoever?

I have to completly agree to you, the printed medium still has a profound impact on the world today, and we would not be the same without it. So therfore I can't really argue con, but I am certainly going to follow this.
