Can any religious person scientifically prove the existence of their god? Please provide sources.

Through research I believe mostly all religions were developed as a measure of control on a population. I also believe that as a species we would be better off without religion. We have learnt valuable lessons through religion, but I think the best way forward for the human race is to now have a more scientific viewpoint on all aspects of life.

As a side note - Can any Christian provide definitive proof of the existence of Jesus Christ?

Thanks for initiating the debate.

You ask if anyone can prove God's existence using science. The Christian God is a person and my answer to your question is that science cannot prove or disprove a person's existence. Can you falsify your own own existence? That would be the scientific way right? Provide scientific evidence that Plato existed or that Ceasar existed. The evidence to do this is of a historical nature relying on the testimony of others etc. and is therefore not of the scientific kind. Can science resurrect Plate to subject him to the scientific method? Asking scientific proof in this case is like asking what the color blue smells like. Science have limitations and can therefore only be applied to that which it is limited too.

Should you still require scientific evidence then you must specify exactly what the REASONABLE scientific method will be to accomplish this.

Science is not a agent to determine religious truths, although it can support it. Muslims, Christians and atheist alike are able to do science. One of the biggest jokes i hear is when a Scientist claim something like: we now know better therefore we do not need God to explain it. When you start to ask specific questions about dark matter, dark energy, black holes and how the big bang occured then it quickly becomes evident that they do not know better but infact know nothing. At best they can provide a hypothesis to try and replace God. If you like i can post citations for this in the next round. The experiments work regardless of your religious orientation. To say people should leave religion behind and rather follow a scientific path into the future is therefore not a very logical deduction because individual belief do not change the scientific methods used. People using science gave use cures for deceases but is also responsible for a lot of diseases plaguing humanity today. People using science gave us the means to perhaps life longer but also the means to destroy the whole world. Why not rather just get rid of all the scientists, that would be more consistent with your argument.

If you don't mind, I will deal with the historicity of Christ in the next round.

You do not use or need knowledge, proof or evidence for gods.
The only thing needed for gods to be true is belief.
If you don't have belief then gods are not true. Humans have invented thousands of gods over thousands of years and all have become myths when belief in them stopped.

Sounds like a great debate. Good luck.

Can any religious person scientifically prove the existence of their God?

Yes; for no other fact then the question is about their principle of God have nothing to do with proving one religious principle of GOD. The test is judging the religious person on scientific procedure not basic truth of principle.

Can God be establish from an non religious source?

Again the answer is yes. Cite. "One Nation Under Principle (a guide to the common defiance, 2016)" Defines GOD as a numerical axiom in a complex, but reasonable way. As an attempt to remove the meaning of GOD in some uses of the word. The idea is words are free with no self-value and God has no self-supporting religious structure so is simple plagiarized publicly as only a religion by the people. Unless the people are instructed specifically to provide equal representation.

Which would confirm the need of a United States Constitution with Separation of Church and State. Depicting that any representation of religion as a shared public State, state that would be share as group, or one single basic principle. Can in fact be broken by changing the way the principle is shared publicly.

The United States Constitution does not list this separation in meaning of word. The process of separation of church and State is describing as a basic principle of separation in words, A organized Principle that is in fact place alongside others principles. So it may be pick out and of a lineup of choice to prove itself as self-evident as the only legal separation process of this nature. Much like a criminal might be found by having a lineup. The separation is made for us by Title of Article, Section, or paragraph as this would be coaching.

Kwagga seems like a smart guy though. I suspect this will be a good debate.

Asking for scientific proof of God is ludicrous. That would require putting God under the rules of science, a condition that logically cannot exist. There are empirical, logical, philosophical, etc. ways to prove God's existence, but asking for scientific proof caused the debate to fail from the start. It relies on a fundamental misunderstanding of the nature of God and how one could go about proving his existence.

While no one can prove gods existence, no one can prove he doesn't. There is evidence to show Jesus was real but again he was controversial at the time and not entirely embraced by his Jewish peers as the messiah causing the first split in their religion. Science shows that the universe is constantly evolving and some have chalked it up to the big bang theory. Well, how did the universe jump to life all at once and how did that atom get created?

You better be careful. There's one religion that can prove their god exists. I'm not a member of that religion, so I won't be accepting.

There is some evidence pointing to Jesus being real (I had a debate on that a long time ago), not including religious scripture. As for proof of a deity... Nothing can prove God's existence.
